Description

Device to prevent droplets from being carried along from the discharge tube in air humidification systems.

The disadvantageous entrainment of drops in humidified air seeks one is known to prevent by absorbent substances over which the with moisture pregnant air is passed. About the formation of drops even before they hit to effect on the absorbent material, impact resistors had been switched on before this, on which the air meets. But there was the disadvantage that such Particles, which are already dissolved in the air in the finest condition, turn into drops again unite and so the efficiency of the device is lowered. Through the Invention, these disadvantages are to be avoided in that the exhaust pipe the device for generating moist air towards the end a change of direction receives, to which, subsequently, the absorbent material in several over each other E single staggered is inserted into the pipe. This ensures that the moistened Air in front of her Exits from the device, already in several Subdivided into layers, encounters absorbent substances, there the drops carried along gives off on impact and on further stroking over the fabric even those about to. Ejects particles that tend to form droplets. The result is a humid air in which the water is only found in the finest distribution.

In the drawing, Fig. I shows a longitudinal section through the new one Device, Fig. 2 is a partial cross-section of this.

Die Abb. 3 und 4 zeigen Querschnitte anderer Ausführungsformen. Figs. 3 and 4 show cross-sections of other embodiments.

The outlet pipe a of the humid air generation device in which the Air is appropriately humidified receives towards its end, approximately at the Point b, a change of direction. In the part behind the knee there are absorbent materials c arranged in several tiers one above the other; those used to support them Soils d are appropriately given a roof-shaped incline in the sense of Fig. 2, around the water caught by the fabric to the side and settle there to collect in gutters that open into lateral downpipes.

Instead of the double inclination of the floors d in the sense of Fig. 2 can also a simple slope. according to Fig. 3 or such in the sense of Fig. 4 against each other be arranged where the water collects in central channels 1. This arrangement has the advantage that the air does not hit the side walls of the exhaust pipe is thrown back, where drops could form again, but one direction gets more towards the middle.
