Zweitakt-Explosionsmotor.
Bei den bekannten, im Zweitakt arbeitenden
Explosionsmotoren wird die Ladung (los brenn-
baren Gemisches allgemein durch einen in der
Zylinderwandung vorgesehenen Kanal einge-
führt, der durch den Kolben gegen Ende seine
Krafthubes zu geöffnet wird, während gleich-
zeitig dieverbranntenGase durch einen anderen.
von dein vorigen möglichst entfernten Kanal
hindurch ausgestoßen werden. Diese Anord-
nung verhindert nicht, daß durch den :@uspuli-
kanal mit den verbrannten Gasen zitgleicli auch
ein Teil frischen Gemisches entweicht. cler einen
Verlust bedeutet.
Will man andererseits den Motor mit schwa-
cher Ladung arbeiten lassen, indem man die
einzuführende Gemischmenge verringert, so
reicht das Volumen der letzteren nicht ans, uni
die verbrannten Gase @:ollstünclig atisziitreilieii,
von denen dann ein Teil Im Zvlindrr zurück-
bleibt, der die Entzündung erschwert und Ans-
setzer hervorruft, da der Komprcssion;grad
immer derselbe ist.
Gemäß der Erfindung werden diese, beiden
l'belst-inde dadurch behoben, daß, nach Ab-
schluß der Auspufföffnung, das eingelassene
frische Brennstoffluftgemisch durch einen nach
zwei Richtungen höckerartig ausgebildeten
des Kolbenbodens in einer auf der Seite
der Zündvorrichtung abgeteilten X-'erlirennung-
I<rLlnmer abgefangen und darin verdichtet ivirc.l.

Kammer in die zweite überschlagen.
Es sind schon Zweitakt-Explosions- und -Ver-
brennungskraftmaschinen bekannt geworden,
bei denen die Kolbenböden nach außen vor-
stehende Platten aufweisen oder htickerartig
ausgebildet sind, wodurch der Verbrennungs-
rauin in zwei Kammern geteilt wird. Aber in
(.lern einen Falle dient die vom Kolben vor-
stellende Platte lediglich dazu, der Spfilluft
zum -Austreiben der verbrannten Gase in wirk-
samer Weise eine Richtungsänderung zli er-
teilen,. wogegen es sich in dem anderen Falle
darum handelt, bei einmaligem Hube den
Brennstoff zweimal einzuführen, weshalb auch
dort der Verbrennungsraum in zwei über-
einander-, nicht aber in nrl:eneinalidci-lie;,-eildc'

gelegene von diesen ist die Einlaßöffnung 5,
die mit dem Rohrstutzen 8 fair die Zuleitung

für den Auslaß der verbrannten Gage bestimmt.
Auf den oberen Teil des; Zylinders t ist seit-
.lich die Kerze oder eine beliebige andere Zünd-
vorrichtung angebracht, und in das innere c.cs
Stutzens 5 ist ein Drehschieber oder Hahn 1 2
eingesetzt, der von der Motorwelle aus durch
eine geeignete

Form gegeben: er 'bildet einen Häcker Ios

Die Öffnungen b und 7 werden lediglich von
(lein über sie hinwegschreitenden Kolben a ge-
schlossen, dagegen wird die Öffnung j außer
durch den Kolben durch den Drehschieber 12
gesteuert.
Die Arbeitsweise des Motors ist folgende
Wenn der ' Kolben 2 nach der hxplo5ion
seinen Abwärt,hub vollzieht, so wird die Öff-
nung 5 von dem Kolben zwar freigelegt, aber
der hinlaßstutzen 8 von (lein Schieber 12 noch
geschlossen. Hierauf wird die Auslaßöffnung 7
freigelegt, um die; verbrannten Gase lierauszu-
lassen, und- endlich wird auch die Öffnung
von dein Kolben freigegeben, durch die, etwa
finit Hilfe einer Ptimpe oder eines Gebläses,
frische Luft in den Zylinder getrieben wird, lull
den Rest der verbrannten Gase aus diesem
hinausszuspiilen. Alsdann steigt der Kolben 2
nach aufwärts und deckt hierbei allmählich
die <)(!'nun gen (i und j zii (Ahn. z). jetzt erst
hat der Schieber 12 den Stutzen S geöffnet, und
ein reiches und schwach verdichtetes Gemisch
tritt in den Zylinder i ein, welches sich in der
zwischen Kolben- mir' Zylinderboden einge-
schIcssenen Luft verdünnen kann.
Während der Kolben 2 seinen Aufwärtslaub
fortsetzt, komprimiert er das Gemisch, aber
infolge Anordnung des Höckers io entsteht
eine in zwei Räutne 13 und 14. geteilte, mit
einem durch die Rille ii gebildeten Verbin-
chingskanal @c#rseliene @'t#rbreiinungskcimmt-r

Da (las Gemisch nicht @leiclimlirig zu@ammen-
gesetzt ist, >o wird der Teil vort ihm, der in
dem auf der-Scite der EInstr()nll)ffntmg liegenden
Raum 1g abgefangen ist, erheblich reicher sein
als derjenige, der den Rauire Ll ausfüllt. Da
nun außerdem im Raumteil 1.3 die Zündkerze
angebracht ist, so wird in dein Raumteil T ;
ein sicheres Entzfinc'en bewirkt, und die bren-
nenden Gase schlagen durch clie Rille I>; hin-
durch in den Raumteil 14, die das in diesem
eingeschlossene iirinere Gemisch entzünden.
Diese
gestattet also die Explo-
sion einer vollen Ladung herbeizuführen, welch('
letzter filier in ihrer Gesamtheit <irni :;eiii kann.
Ist der Gang des Motors finit schwacher Liraft
erwünscht, :;o kann man das Volumen (!es durch
die Öffnung 5 eintretenden Brennstoffluftge-
misches verringern, dann wird der Teil 1..1 der
Verbrennungskammer nichts als Luft enthalten,
und die Gesamtheit des frischen Gemisches
verbleibt im "heil i", wo es sich verdünnt, um
sich leicht entzünden zti lassen.
Der Raumteil 1;; kann so bemessen werden,
claß die Entzündung einer so kleinen Gemisch-
menge gesichert ist, die noch für den Leergang
der Maschine genügt.
Zu beachten ist noch, daß der Schieber oder
der Hahn 12, der übrigen, durch ein beliebiges
anderes Urgatt, z. l3. Ventil, ersetzt sein kann,
den Einwirkungen der Explosion völlig ent-
zogen ist.
Endlich kann die Teilung der Verbrennungs-
kaininer in zwei Räume nicht allein durch Aus-
gestaltung c'l_es Kolbenbodens, sondern etwa
durch t#ine solche teils: des Kolbenbodens: und
teils des Zylinderhodens oder endlich nur des
letzteren erreicht werden.
