Abschlußring für Schleudergußformen. Ein bekannter Mißstand beim Gießen von Rohren und anderen Hohlkörpern im Schleuderguß ist der, daß nach dem Ausgießen der Form stets noch etwas Metall nachfließt, das als »überfließendes Metallcc einen unerwünschten Ansatz am Rohrende -bildet. Dieser ist beim Herausziehen des Ro"hies aus der Form häufig Veranlassung zur Entstehung von Rissen, die den Gußkörper unbrauchbar machen. Abgesehen hiervon erfordert die Beseitigung des Ansatzes jedesmal besondere Arbeit. Zur Vermeidung dieser Übelstände hat man am Ende der Gießform- einen Abschlußring von der Höhe der beabsichtigten Rohrwandstärke eingesetzt. Die bisher gebräuchlichen Ringe solcher Art erfüllen jedoch ihren Zweck nur unvollkommen, da sie durchweg geradflächige Innenwände haben und bei gerader Innenfläche;der Ringwand eine glatte Trennung des Rohrkörpers vom überfließenden Metall nicht gewährleistet ist. Erfindungsgemäß wird nun (siehe Abb.) der an der Gußform r sitzende Ring z an seiner inneren Wand mit einem Ansatz versehen, dessen Querschnitt ein Dreieck bildet, das mit seiner Spitze nach der Längsachse der Form zu zeigt. Dadurch, entsteht eine scharfe Kante an der Innenwand des Ringes. Diese, in Verbindung mit der Schleuderwirkung, trennt in einfacher Weise das überfließende Metall vom gegossenen Rohr und gewährleistet ein vollständig glattes Rohrende, das keiner besonderen Bearbeitung mehr bedarf.End ring for centrifugal casting molds.
