Abstract

The brake lining material (3), has at least two braking surfaces (7,9) of different friction values with their adjacent surfaces or adjacent surfaces areas generally at right angles to the striking surface of the brake lining on the brake disc or drum. Pref the different braking surfaces (7,9) have different friction values, butting against each other at their sides on a line at a diagonal to the direction of brake lining (3) movement, in a chess-board layout, against the brake disc or drum. The different braking surfaces (7,9) are arranged alternately to form braking zones, or a zone with a high friction is inserted within or between zones (9) of a lower friction action as a cylindrical section (7) within a surrounding section (9) of the other material and embedded in place. The boundaries between the surfaces run generally at right angles to the direction of movement. The first braking zone (7) is of a half-metal material, and the other braking zone is of a conventional brake lining mass. ADVANTAGE - The brake lining structure reduces oscillation during the braking action.

Description

The appearance of noises, especially squeak and Humming noises have no influence on the function efficiency of the brake. Nevertheless, such Ge noise corresponding concerns at the driver of a force trigger vehicle and cause him to misconduct Initiate braking. This process is still going on strengthens that the new asbestos-free brake pads anyway tend to be noisy while there at the same time succeeds in driving motor vehicles always quieter.

From DE-GMG 88 09 363 it has therefore become known, Be would be in several brake pads for damping purposes build up layers that lie below each other different material. Sense of this use of Intermediate layers is the spread of noise to hinder vibrations.

From DE-GMG 85 07 640 it is also known that the Fastening of the brake pad serving carrier plate in the loading rich of their support and / or sliding surface with integrated To provide damping sliders to reduce vibrations add (see page 3, paragraph 2). This literature  position continues to suggest within the brake pad provide grooves running perpendicular to the carrier plate, which also serve to dampen vibrations.

The present invention is therefore based on a brake covering derge from the preamble of the main claim genus and has set itself the task of Damping behavior of such a brake pad continues to increase improve. This task is known from the characteristic part of the main claim combination solved. In principle, the invention therefore exists in that the brake pad in individual, perpendicular to the common areas adjoining areas with under to divide different coefficient of friction. Which occur as a result the interfaces are largely from the wear of the Be was independent, so that the behavior of the Covering during the entire service life with regard to the Noise reduction occurs. In addition, they have lowered interfaces of the areas running right to the friction surface than surprisingly cheap for noise reduction posed. It is advantageous, also in a simple manner possible to spray the individual areas to pour simultaneously, so that such coverings by means a single casting process can be produced.

The pads also have a particularly simple structure regarding their manufacturing process by application the combination of features according to claim 2. The individual areas preferably one, according to the characteristics Claim 3 corresponding structure.

An increase in the damping behavior can be achieved by applying the features evident from claim 5 ( Fig. 1).

A particularly simple construction which is quite satisfactory with regard to the desired effect results from the features specified in claim 6 ( FIG. 3). With regard to the interaction of the areas with high and low coefficient of friction, the arrangement according to claim 7 has proven to be particularly advantageous. The first region, which has a higher coefficient of friction, can be cylindrical and provided with a circular friction surface (see claim 9) or can also be rectangular between two second parts (claim 9). The first area is preferably made of semimetal.

Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung wird nachfolgend an hand der Zeichnung erläutert, darin zeigt:An embodiment of the invention is described below explained using the drawing, which shows:

Fig. 1 einen ersten Bremsklotz mit vorzugsweise schach brettförmig angeordneten Bereichen Fig. 1 shows a first brake pad with preferably chess board-shaped areas

Fig. 2 einen nur zwei Bereiche aufweisenden Bremsklotz und Fig. 2 has a brake pad and only two areas

Fig. 3 einen drei Bereiche aufweisenden Bremsklotz. Fig. 3 is a three areas having brake pad.

The pad 1 shown in Fig. 1 transmits on a carrier plate 4 Trä a brake lining 3, which consists of a chessboard-like arranged areas. There are more narrowly hatched first areas that have a lower coefficient of friction and further hatched second areas that have a higher coefficient of friction. The areas are arranged essentially in a checkerboard pattern with respect to one another, where the boundary planes run diagonally to the direction of movement of the brake block with respect to the disk.

The brake pad 3 in FIG. 2 consists of two areas 7 and 9 , the first area 7 having a higher coefficient of friction being arranged in the form of a cylinder within the second area 9 , which has a lower coefficient of friction.

The brake pad 1 shown in FIG. 3 carries a sector-shaped friction lining 3 , which consists of 3 areas, two second areas with a lower coefficient of friction lying on the sides of the first area with a higher coefficient of friction. The first area is preferably in all three embodiment examples made of semi-metal. The surrounding areas with a lower coefficient of friction, which can be represented by the usual brake pad mass, are considerably dampened by the more elastic properties due to the first area located in the middle.
