Process for the pretreatment of vegetable raw materials for the purpose of relief
subsequent acidic or alkaline digestion. The unlocking of the vegetable
Raw materials is .a dialysis process that has to be accelerated if possible so
the chemical reaction that takes place inside the vegetable fibers
begins not so much later than in the outer layers of these fibrous structures.
So erreicht
man z.
It has now been found that this absolutely necessary dialysis can be used
can be accelerated by pre-swelling the vegetable raw materials
undergoes. Such pre-swelling causes very different chemicals,
which can be acidic as well as neutral as well as alkaline reaction. So achieved
one z. B. with mineral acid, but better still with organic acid; very strong
Swelling. The same is true of the use of the sodium acetate. But also with
Alkali one can achieve a pre-swelling, which is of great advantage for the acceleration
of the unlocking process.
It is already known that before the actual unlocking with
Alkali, e.g. B. for straw, cook or steam with organic acids. The purpose
This cooking or steaming is. the release of organic incrustations, but not
a softening, loosening, or swelling of the cell membrane. It is also found in
.The literature describes a process in which prior to the actual breakdown
a Kocheng with Kalle is to take place. Here the lime is used for saturation at the boiling point
organic acids released and does not cause swelling.
in@ krustenfreier Zellstoffe.
It is also known that there is, for example, a sulphite build-up in the cooking liquid
organic acids, organic acid salts or their mixtures or mixtures of
organic acid and mineral acid etc. added for the purpose of producing very pure,
in @ crust-free pulps. It is finally known that alkaline reacting salts
such as B. sodium acetate, as an additive to a cooking liquid for the purpose of acceleration
of the unlocking process. So far, however, has not been recognized
the mulled 'additives work in that they use the vegetable raw materials for ouelling
and thus enable rapid dialysis. Such a swelling is now possible
Much easier in front of you if you can't get the swelling agent through the cooking liquid
somewhat diluted. The effect of the swelling agent is far better,
if you have the organic acid before the actual cooking process with bisulfite solution
lets act or the acetic acid baking soda also in a special process
causes the swelling and only then brings the cooking liquid to act.
Holz «°ird in einer 2- bis o,oiprozeiitigen Essihsätire während etwa 6 his 2:I Stunden
It was not foreseeable that the substances mentioned would swell
work and certainly not that this swelling effect
a stronger one
is when the zti swelling vegetable raw materials in a swelling liquid for
to be treated alone in the cold. Example: That to be cooked in the bisulfite process
Wood is grown in a 2 to 1 hour meal for about 6 to 2 hours
soaked and then brought together in a wet state with the necessary cooking liquid.
In the same way, an approximately 2 to 0 percent strength sodium acetate solution or
a mixture of sodium acetate solution and acetic acid can be used. Also is
one does not think of the use of acetic acid; also other organic acids,
such as lactic acid, formic acid, etc., have a swelling effect.
However, the swelling is not due to the action of the acids or ler mentioned
Bound salts. All (l-i; ejeiigen substances are usable, which are able to
cause extensive swelling of the vegetable raw materials.
