Um den in dem Patente No. 35000 bezeichneten Apparat dahin verwendbar zu
machen, dafs schwer lösliche Flecke u. s. w. aus dem zu waschenden Stoff unter Benutzung
von Wärme entfernt .werden können, und dafs man ferner die gewaschenen Stoffe trocknen
und die Benzindämpfe wieder gewinnen kann, ist eine Heizvorrichtung, sowie eine Einrichtung

Der die zum Waschen bestimmten Stoffe aufnehmende Cylinder A ist mit einem Heizmantel
E versehen, welcher auch aus einem Rohrsystem F (s. Fig. 3 und 4) gebildet sein
kann, in welchen Dampf oder heifse Luft eingeführt wird. Für den Abflufs des condensirenden
Dampfes stehen die einzelnen Rohre F in geeigneter Weise mit einander in Verbindung,
und dient der Stutzen g zum Anschlufs der Einlafsleitung des Dampfes, während durch
diesen Stutzen zugleich der Abflufs des Condensationswassers vermittelt wird.· Der innere
Cylinder ist mit Benzin zum Theil gefüllt und mit einem absperrbaren Ausströmrohr h für
die Benzindämpfe versehen. Das Rohr h führt. zu einer Kühlschlange G, die in einen geeigneten,
mit kaltem Wasser oder anderem Material gefüllten Behälter eingesetzt ist. The tube h leads. to a cooling coil G, which is inserted into a suitable container filled with cold water or other material.
Der Vorgang ist hierbei folgender: Die zu waschenden Stoffe werden in den Cylinder A
gebracht und letzterer mit Benzin zum Theil angefüllt. Durch Wirkung des in den Mantel
oder das Rohrsystem eintretenden Dampfes wird das Benzin erwärmt und wirkt in diesem Zustande
aufserordentlich auflösend auf die in den Stoffen befindlichen Unreinigkeiten. Nach
einiger Zeit wird das noch flüssige Benzin aus dem Cylinder abgelassen und alsdann der Ablafs
b geschlossen, hingegen der nach dem Kühlapparat führende Hahn i geöffnet, wobei stets
Dampf in den Mantel E geleitet wird. Unter schneller Umdrehung des die Stoffe enthaltenden
Cylinders und unter Wirkung der vom Dampf ausstrahlenden Wärme wird das in den Stoffen vorhandene Benzin verdampft und der
sich bildende Dampf nach der Kühlschlange G zum Condensiren geleitet. Nach kurzer Zeit
sind die Stoffe völlig getrocknet und die Benzindämpfe vollständig nach dem Kühler übergeführt,
so dafs nicht nur die Reinigungsoperation in kurzer Zeit ausgeführt ist, sondern
gleichzeitig auch ein Trockenprocefs stattgefunden hat, welcher zur Folge hat, dafs
sämmtliches zum Waschen gebrauchte Benzin wieder gewonnen wird und kein Verlust eintritt.The process here is as follows: The fabrics to be washed are brought into cylinder A , and the latter is partly filled with gasoline. After a short time the substances are completely dried and the gasoline vapors are completely transferred to the cooler, so that not only is the cleaning operation carried out in a short time, but also a drying process has taken place at the same time, which has the result that all the gasoline used for washing is recovered and there is no loss.
