As can be seen from FIGS. 1 to 3, a stand A 2 is attached to a base plate A supported by feet A 1 , to the upper part of which a frame A 3 is connected by screws. On this frame A 3 rests in bearing blocks D a shaft D 1 together with a drum D 2 , FIG. 5, the removable head piece of which is provided with a shoulder a, FIG. 4 engaging in the latter, and an opening E, FIG. 31. . A wing nut a \ Figure 5, omitted from the Figure 1 in dotted position indicated, the head piece firmly against the drum. on the other hand, if one loosens it only a little and lets the wings step into the opening b , the head piece can be lifted off immediately. The speed of rotation of the drum D 2 is regulated by the helical spring y and nuts y l y 2.
A drive shaft B, Fig. Ι and 2, on which belt pulleys -B 1 S 2 , flywheel B 3 , clutch B *, worm O 5 and cam plate J3 5 with thumb B 6 are arranged, is mounted in the frame A 3. The disc J3 2 cast in one piece and the flywheel B s sit loosely on the shaft B, to which they are, however, connected by coupling B 4 by means of tie rod C 1 and foot steps C, FIG. The front side of the frame A s is formed into a dovetail slide which serves for guidance of a percussion piston E, Fig. 4, the upper end of which anschliefst to a in the frame A 3 by means of the arm E 2 is articulated lever arm E 1. The lever arm E 2 also carries an arm E 3 which is rotatably connected to a rod E 1 mounted in a claw A *, FIG. 5, FIG. 2, its roller b 1 , FIG. 2, in the track ^ 1 of the cam plate B s lies and under the action of the latter the rod i? 4 back and forth and so moves the piston E up and down.
In einer Aussparung e4 des Rahmens A3, Fig. 7, ist ferner auf eine Welle e3 eine Rolle e1 aufgekeilt, während eine zweite Rolle e2 aufIn a recess e 4 of the frame A 3 , Fig. 7, a roller e 1 is wedged onto a shaft e 3 , while a second roller e 2
Letztere werden nach Bedarf in die kreisförmig angeordneten Löcher /5, Fig. i, gesteckt und darin durch Schraubenfedern /4 festgehalten.a pin of the arm e 5, which is rotatably suspended on the frame A 3 at e 6 , is pressed against the roller e 1 by a spring f, the tension of which is regulated by the wing screw / 1. . These two rollers serve to jerk the wire which is wound onto the drum D 2 and passed through a channel e of the frame A 3 located behind the piston E. For this purpose, there is a ratchet wheel g, Fig. 2, a two-armed lever g- 1 and a stop arm g 2 , Fig. 8 and 9, the former fixed, the latter loosely arranged on the shaft e 3. The stop arm g 2 is attached with its other end on a rod F which carries a sleeve h 1 with pin h 2 , which rests in the at h 3 on the frame A 3 rotatable lever F 1 , Fig. 2. The latter is through a Bolt j l connected to a pull rod F and a step lever F 3 ; a coil spring i pulls the rod F * down again when the worker removes the foot from the step lever. Above the arm g 1 sits on the rod F a lever G with a roller i l , FIG. 8, on which the thumb B 6 acts to move the lever G about its pivot point. The lower end of the lever G rests against the lower arm of the lever g \ Fig. 8, and moves in the one direction about its axis, but will, in turn, in the opposite, by the arrow in Fig. 8 direction indicated by means of g l moves when the thumb B 6 acts on the roller i 2 which, together with the sliding claws h engaging in the ratchet wheel g , sits on a bearing pin wedged in the upper end of the lever g l , Fig. io. The stop arm g 2 is provided with the laterally projecting shoulder j which comes into contact with the edge of the lever g 1 in order to limit its backward movement (opposite to the direction of the arrow in FIG. 8). The length of the jerkily through the rollers e 1 e 2 , Fig. 7, with the aid of the ratchet wheel g, Fig. 8, fed wire is thus determined by the position of the projection j, Fig. 10, which position again by the vertical movement of the Rod F ' 2 and the lever G carried by this is influenced. In order to regulate the movement of the rod F 2 , the pivot j 1 is lengthened in such a way that it comes into engagement with one or the other of two eccentric stop thumbs k and k 1 , FIG Step lever F 3 has been set or removed from it. The thumbs kk 1 are respectively on the shafts k 2 mounted in the frame A s. k 3 attached, which respectively the lever arms I. Wear Z 1 , in each of which an insert pin P provided with a button / 3 is attached. The latter are inserted into the circularly arranged holes / 5 , Fig. I, and held in place by helical springs / 4 .
Mittelbar über der Nuth m2 und dem Kolben I befindet sich in einer Nuth des Rahmens As ein Block J Below the slide is at the front part of the frame ^ 3 a punch carrier H, Fig. 4, 6 and, which has received a Nuth in adjustable therein with punching H 1 and H '2 17 is arranged. The latter are each provided with a set screw m l and collar η , which can rotate in the vertical recesses ή 1 of the groove m , Fig. 15 to 17. At right angles to this groove is a second groove m ' 2 , which serves as a bearing and guide for the piston I, Fig. 16, is used, at the front end of which the cutting punch n 2 is attached. With this, the punches HH 1 form the device to shape the sides of the nail to be driven into the footwear, etc. The punches H 1 H 2 are therefore a little beveled at their inner ends, corresponding to the conical shape of the nail, and have vertical slots o received, which run from their inner to their outer ends and parallel with their other edges and which with their center lines lie in the same plane with the center of the channel e through which the wire is fed to the punches. At the junction of the grooves m and m 2 there is a circular recess in the punch carrier H , into which the lower edge ο 1 of a fork-shaped plate o 2 is fitted, which protrudes upward into the slots ο of the punch H 1 H 2; the clearance up between the two yoke parts is sufficiently wide cut around the wire from which the nails are cut free passage to permit, and further, o in the base 2, a hole through which may fall through the cut by the wire metal, while a The larger hole ρ in the lower part of H serves the same purpose, Figs. 7, 14 and 15. The fork-shaped plate o 2 serves as a lateral guide for the wire from which the nails are cut during its downward movement, with the two fork parts pointing upwards in the slots 0 protrude: the latter are deeply cut into the punches H 1 H 2 to enable them to be sharpened. The punch H 2 is also provided with an incision o 3 at its inner end and beveled at the inner end of the part above the latter, Fig. 15. In the wall in front of the groove m a vertical groove o * is provided, which is large enough is to receive the nail cut from the wire; the same is located directly under a arranged on the piston E hammer d, Fig. 6, and o in line with a hole 5 of a mouthpiece 7 1 that rests on the shoe sole during the driving of the nails, Fig. 6 indirectly via the Nuth m 2 and the piston I is a block J in a groove of the frame A s
mit einer Stahlhülse p1, welche durch einen Keil o6 festgehalten wird, Fig. 32 und 33.with a steel sleeve p 1 , which is held in place by a wedge o 6 , FIGS. 32 and 33.
The piston I with the punch rc 2 , Fig. 16, is used to cut off the length of wire required to form the nail. For this purpose, it is rotatably attached at p 2 , Fig. 2, to a lever J 1 , which rests on the pin h 3 and at its upper end with the arm J ' 2 attached to the same pin h 3 by means of a screw bolt p 4 and a nut p 5 is adjustably connected, Fig. 5 and 30. At its upper end, the arm J 2 carries a pin q with a roller q \ which slides in the path d 1 , Fig. 5, the cam plate B 5 and as a result rotation of the latter by means of the connecting lever J 1/2 the piston / and the punch w 2, a reciprocating motion imparted thereby is in the state of cutting off a nail by the by the rollers e 1 e 2 supplied wire and under the hammer d to lead. By appropriately adjusting the levers J 1 J ' 2 by means of the adjusting screw p i , the punch n 2 can be adjusted in such a way that the wear and tear of the curved path d 1 and the roller q 1 resulting from the sharpening is compensated.
A lever K with roller r, FIGS. 14 and 15, is rotatably attached to the underside of the punch carrier H , the latter coming to lie close to the snout I x on the shoe sole to be nailed. The lever K has a thumb r \ Fig. 1 and 2, with which the roller r 2 of the lever J 1 is in engagement, around the latter in the position indicated in Fig. 1 and the lower edge of the roller r in one plane hold with the bottom of the muzzle / 1 while the nail is driven in. R behind the roller there is a teaching r 4, Fig. 14 and 15, the lips at the side the lever K behufs include its straight guide and which is provided with a rectangular Nuth for receiving the thumb-lever type K1. The latter sits rotatably on a hood K 2 which can be adjusted on the lever K , so that the gauge r 4 can be brought into greater or lesser distance from the opening of the mouthpiece 7 1 , FIGS. 6, 14, 21 and 22. By means of this gauge r 4 the shoe sole is guided straight and the distance of the row of nails from the edge of the sole is determined in such a way that the lever K 1 in Fig. 14 and 21 in a simple row of nails, and in Fig. 22 is given the position shown. In order to prevent any movement of the lever K 1 , the same is provided with lugs s ] s 2 , which in the front respectively. Grab the back wall of the nut.
Below the mouthpiece P , the horn L, FIGS. 2 and 23, carrying the shoe etc., is rotatably attached to a rotatable arm L 1 of a rod Z, 2 by means of a pin s s and is held in a vertical position by a spring bolt s 4. The rod L 2 rests in bearings M 1 M 2 of a rod M, Fig. 3, and is provided with .einem collar L 3 to limit the upward movement, between which and the lower bearing M 2 a helical spring L 4 is arranged to either to keep the sole in contact with the muzzle or, with the sole removed, to press the collar against the bearing. The lower end of the rod L 2 connects a toggle rod Z, 5 with a step lever N, through which the horn L can thus be pulled down. The upper part of the rod M is by means t of the hollow bolt and the nut t l to the stand A '2 rotatably mounted, Fig. 23, while the slotted lower part i 2, Fig. 26, the approach of a forked ring Z, 8 includes, which is clamped on the rod Z, 2 to prevent the latter from turning. A bolt i 3 protruding to the rear connects an arm N 1 rotatably to the ring 6 , which is peculiarly forked and between the two projecting lugs uu 1 with stop screws u 2 w 3 to regulate the movement of N 1 at the lower end of the rod M is arranged, Fig. 28. A triangular pin i> extends into the fork of the arm 2V 1 and sits eccentrically on a shaft O, Fig. 27, resting in the stator A 2. The latter is set in motion by means of the bevel gears O 1 O 2 , FIG. 3, the shaft O 3 , the worm gear O 4 , FIG. 4, and the worm O 5 , FIGS. 2, 3 and 27, and the pin then acts ν one after the other on the straight line, on the curved side and on the bottom of the fork in the direction of the arrow in FIG.
In order to prevent the horn L from yielding when a nail is hammered in, the rod L 2 is clamped in its upper bearing by a drag shoe v 1 , which forms the continuation of a piston v 2 mounted in the hollow bolt t and with its rounded end the Rod L ' 2 embraces, Fig. 23 and 24. A helical spring v 3 surrounds the piston v 2 in order to pull the drag shoe v 1 back from the rod, while v 1 is pressed against Z, 2 by an eccentric P arranged on the shaft ο , Fig. 3 and 29, takes place, which acts on the rod P 1 , the upper end of which is connected to toggle levers v 4 v 5 . The latter are pressed against piston v 2 by lever v e and compression spring n> 2 , and this pressure can be regulated by screw w . The movement of lever v e is limited by adjusting nut xp * from bolt n> 3.
After the wire spool is brought onto the drum D 2 and the wire end through the channel e between the feed rollers e 1 e 2 , -Fig. 7, ge
Abheben desselben bewirkt. Man kann selbstverständlich die Maschine auch umgekehrt wirken lassen, wenn man den Tritt Fs an seinem hinteren Ende drehbar macht und ihn mit der Stange F2 zwischen seinem Drehpunkt und seinem freien Ende verbindet, wobei die Feder i so anzuordnen ist, dafs sie die Stange F2 nach oben anstatt nach unten bewegt.have been pulled, in order to produce the largest possible nail, the thumbs kk 1 , as shown in FIG. 2, are adjusted. The worker sets drive shaft B in motion and steps onto step F a ; As a result of the position of the stop j and the lever arm g 1 , a length of wire is cut from the punches, which corresponds to the longest nail that can be made and driven by the machine. To cut off a slightly shorter nail, turn the thumb k in the direction of the arrow, FIG. 2, by pulling the insert pin Z 2 out of the lever arm Z and inserting this pin into the next hole Z 5 , FIG. 1 ... In this way, the rod F ' 2 is moved upwards a little, thus reducing the distance between the stop j and the edge of the lever arm g x and consequently the movement of the pushing claws h. If a corresponding to the shortest nail piece of wire are cut off, the worker lifts his feet from the foot pedal F, whereupon the rod F '2 i by the spring is pulled downward until the inner surface of the journal ^ 1 with the thumb k 1 , which is in the position indicated in Fig. 2, comes into contact, whereby the space between the approach j and the edge of the lever g 1 respectively. the movement of the sliding claws h is restricted to a minimum. The length of the nail to be cut can then be increased by turning the thumb k l in the Pleilrichtung Fig. 2. It follows from the foregoing that with a single adjustment of the thumbs k and k 1 , the machine can feed two different wire lengths, which correspond to the heel and sole parts of the shoe, the worker changing the length by putting on the foot the step lever F s respectively. Lifting the same causes. You can of course make the machine work the other way around, if you make the step F s rotatable at its rear end and connect it to the rod F 2 between its pivot point and its free end, the spring i being arranged in such a way that it the rod F 2 moved up instead of down.
After the supplied wire has been cut to length and shaped into a nail, the nail thus obtained is placed under the hammer d, FIG Workers being held on shoe driven. Now the lever J 1 J 2 , Fig. 2, is rotated about its pivot point h 3 so that the punch n 2 can let the wire passed downwards. By moving the lever J 1 J 2 , as a result of the action of the roller r 2 on the inclined thumb surface r 1 of the lever K, the shoe is removed from the muzzle I \ Fig. Ι and 2, and the horn L is pressed down, at which time the triangular one Pin v, Fig. 28, is in contact with the curved side of the fork in the arm 2V 1 and rotates the latter about its pivot i 3 until it hits the stop w 2 and then rotates the rod M about its fulcrum lower end moves to the right and the upper end with the horn and shoe moves to the left. The latter is thereby shifted by a distance which corresponds to the distance between two nails, whereupon the pin ν comes into engagement with the bottom of the fork, and the arm N 1 pushes the rod L 2 and the horn L downwards, so that the Tip of the horn is brought into engagement with the shoe sole, which the worker holds and brings against the roller r. The pin ν now comes into contact with the straight side of the fork and pushes the arm IV 1 against the stop screw M 8 , whereby the rods M and L 2 with the horn L are moved back into their normal or upright position. As soon as the pin ν leaves the bottom of the fork, the spring L 4 expands and pushes the rod !, 2 and the horn L upwards until the tip of the latter comes into contact with the inner surface of the sole and the latter against the muzzle 7 1 by moving the roller r up into its normal position as a result of the forward movement of the lower lever N, whereby the long arm of the lever K is released and has fallen into the position of FIG Nagels is done in the manner described above. The distance between the nails from each other can BEZW by screwing. Unscrewing the screw m 3 enlarged resp. can be reduced in size.
In order to prevent the drive shaft B from rotating in the wrong direction, the rear end of the cam disk B 5 is recessed to accommodate a hub A 6 of the frame A 3 , of which a piece is also on one side to form an eccentric Surface W ^ is cut away, Fig. 11. At the inner circumference of the recess of B 5 there is a groove ^ 8 in which a ball χ is arranged, which rests on the eccentric surface w 6 when the machine is at rest, Fig. 11 and 12. If the shaft B is now rotated in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 11, the ball χ moves a little against the reinforcement η> Ί of the eccentric recess and does not oppose the rotation of the shaft; should, however, be attempted to turn the shaft in the opposite direction, the ball χ will move in the opposite direction between
