Abstract

Sealing sheets for building applications, esp. roof sealing webs, comprise (a) an outer layer of thermoplastic olefin (TPO), and (b) a lower layer of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) which is opt. reinforced e.g. with a glass net. Layer (b) serves as an adhesive bridge and has a compsn. of (c) 10-90 phr. SEBS, (d) 5/70 phr. SBS(SIS)SIS and (e) 3-20 phr. uncrosslinked EPDM. The TPE layer may also contain 10-90 phr. aromatic hydrocarbon resin, 20-180 phr. aliphatic hydrocarbon resin, 20-500 phr. bitumen, 20-500 phr. inorganic filler, up to 50 phr. aliphatic plasticiser, up to 10 phr. paraffinic plasticiser and upto 20 phr. carbon black + processing aids. Pref. the TPO layer is 0.1-1 mm. thick and the lower TPE layer is 0.1-5 mm. thick. USE/ADVANTAGE - The lower TPE layer has improved adhesion both to bituminous and to other materials in the region of joins. The materials also exhibit good ageing properties and heat resistance, with a usage temp. range of (-)50 to (+)120 deg.C.

Description

Building seals made of thermoplastic olefins (TPO) known. This alloy, which is made of cross-linked as a soft segment EP (D) M and consists of PP or PP / PE as a hard segment good resistance to aging. The continuous use temperature is -50 ° C to + 120 ° C. The seam is closed problem off with hot gas. The big disadvantage, however, lies in the strong restricted installation method. That means these tracks only are to be laid loose under load or mechanical fastening. The conventional laying methods (e.g. gluing in hot bitumen, Use of cold glue) are due to the poor adhesive properties not possible. There are also considerable difficulties the sealing sheets in the connection area and at openings tied by gluing.

Surprisingly, it has now been found that the webs are made of TPO not only to the bituminous surface, but also afterwards can be held liable for other materials, if the adhesive bridge has a composition according to the characteristics of the Claim 1 has.

Dabei weist die Dichtungsbahn folgenden Aufbau auf:The invention will now be brief based on a schematic sketch explained. The geomembrane has the following structure:

Oberschicht (1) aus TPO (Stärke: 0,1 bis 1 mm)
Unterschicht (2) aus TPE (Stärke: 0,1 bis 5 mm)
Glasgitter (3)
Top layer ( 1 ) made of TPO (thickness: 0.1 to 1 mm)
Bottom layer ( 2 ) made of TPE (thickness: 0.1 to 5 mm)
Glass grid ( 3 )

A sealing membrane constructed in this way has the advantage that the good ones Aging properties and good temperature resistance holds, with the laying options on all areas be expanded.
