Die in der Zeichnung dargestellte manuell bedienbare Betäubungsanlage für Schlachtvieh, z.B. Schweine 1, besteht im wesentlichen aus einem Treibgang 2 und einer Betäubungsstation 3. In der Betäubungsstation 3 ist ein Rücken-Niederhalter 5 durch Druckmittelzylinder 6 höheneinstellbar angeordnet. Ferner befinden sich in der Betäubungsstation 3 zwei V-förmig zueinander angeordnete Förderbänder 7, die über je einen stufenlos regelbaren Hydromotor 8 synchron angetrieben werden. Im Boden der Betäubungsstation 3 ist ein Einlaufblech 9 vorgesehen, das über Sensoren, z.B. Lichtschranken, oder durch Gewichtsmessung bei richtiger Position eines Schweines 1 in Förderrichtung schräg nach unten geklappt wird, so daß das Schwein 1 nur noch seitlich auf den Förderbändern 6 hängt und somit in relativ ruhiger Stellung zum Ende der Betäubungsstation 3 befördert wird. Dort befindet sich eine Bedienungsperson, die Zugang zu Schaltern hat, um ggf. den Rücken-Niederhalter 5 oder die Hydromotoren 8 für die Förderbänder 7 zu steuern. Bei richtiger Positionierung des Schweines 1 setzt die Bedienungsperson eine von zwei Elektroden, z.B. die positive Elektrode 12, im Augen/Hirn-Bereich des Schweines 1 an und schaltet die zweite Elektrode, z.B. die negative Elektrode 14, und den Strom ein, wobei die negative Elektrode 14 durch einen Druckmittelzylinder 15 im Herzbereich des Schweines 1 von schräg links oben angesetzt wird. Die Betäubungszeit wird über Zeitglieder geregelt und beträgt höchstens 5 Sekunden.
