Abstract

A filter is formed of zig-zag webs of relatively thin material held apart by transverse beads sepd. by unbeaded sections "V" and "W" shaped beads alternate lengthwise of the webs. Each "W" bead has a raised projection on the upstream side of the filter, and which on both sides emerges into a downstream projection of equal height. The "V" beads only project on the upstream side, and distance between "V" transitions into unbeaded sections does not exceed max. distance between long arms of "W". Beads engage symmetrically. ADVANTAGE - Prevents undesired collapse of filter structure, esp. on downstream pressurised side.

Description

The invention relates to a filter body from a zigzag folded web of a relatively thin wall filter material according to the generic term of Pa claim 1.

Such a filter body is from DE-PS 12 48 618 known. The beads are shaped there that with filter material webs lying one on top of the other Flow spaces of the same shape on the upstream and downstream sides surrender. This results from that known embodiment tion in that one each on the upstream side protruding bead with its long side directly on a Outstanding neighboring bead adjacent to the outflow side. This leads to filter layers lying on top of each other to that in each case at one end of the flow space beads pointing outwards from this flow space to conclude. With the downstream flow mungskanal, that of the inflowing medium, esp especially a liquid that is under pressure, it can at this point easily collapses len the filter web material come, whereby the Ab flow cross section reduced in an undesirable manner becomes. In addition, there is an irregular togetherness  the folds fall under a high pressure difference standing annular filter body.

The task is to achieve an improvement here of the present invention.

This task is solved by training the Beads and their distribution over the filter material track according to the characterizing features of the patent saying 1.

Eine zweckmäßige Ausgestaltung ist Gegenstand des An spruchs 2.An appropriate design is the subject of the contract Proverbs 2.

The W-shaped beads ( 1 ) alternate with V-shaped beads ( 2 ) alternately in the longitudinal direction of the filter web at the same distance. The one-sided elevation ( 3 ) of the W-shaped beads ( 1 ) and the V-shaped bead ( 2 ) each protrude from the upstream side of the filter sheet material. Arrows ( 4 ) indicate the direction of flow of the filter sheet material.

The folds are placed so that the upstream elevations ( 5 ) of the bead ( 1 ) abut the downstream side of the V-shaped bead ( 2 ).

The arrangement of the beads ( 1 and 2 ) allows in particular on the outflow side between the individual beads, a symmetrical support of the individual filter sheet pleat sections. As a result, an extremely safe support against collapse of the filter web sections can be achieved while maintaining a large free filter area. In addition, a larger flow space is available on the upstream side than on the downstream side between the individual folds.
