Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a floor covering made of structured needle felt as well as a new such flooring.
It is known to have two-layer needle coverings to produce nonwoven in that an upper layer against a cushioning underlayer is needled. When ver needles penetrate fibers from the relatively high quality Upper class into the relatively cheap lower class, so that by needling both layers firmly together who are connected. Then there is an imp gnierung of the two-layer flooring. Here there There are different procedures: the goods are passed through an impregnation liquor, then squeezed on a foulard and ge dries. In the other method, an Im impregnation of a two-layer floor covering Splashing. This can be done from the bottom gene, the impregnation liquor up to the upper layer must penetrate, or by patting the goods top side, the binder down to the underlayer penetrates.
In both processes, the top layer will be so stigt that no more fibers from the bandage let out. By needling both layers ten are so firmly connected that they do not separate from one another without being destroyed. In to low needling and insufficient impregnation the fibers can come out of the Detach the bond. In such a case, one is sufficient wear resistance and shear strength not given.
Non-woven floor coverings made from two needled together Layers are often used in the object. Below one understands offices, hotels, business premises, hobby rooms, sports halls and rental apartments. In all cases the floor covering is subjected to high stress puts.
More recently granules have been used in tennis halls floors with a rubber granulate. These granules requires a carpet with a structured top, so that the granules remain in place and no areas of the floor covering swept by granules ges arise. So far, floor coverings were made of textured only a single layer is produced, d. H. without a cushioning underlayer. Would you with a Bo the top layer with structured needle fleece in the same way by needling with the lower layer connect, as is the case with unstructured multilayer against floor coverings, then Ver needles to destroy the surface structure.
The problem underlying the invention is the creation of a two-layer floor covering, the top layer made of needle felt with the Bottom layer is anchored, with both layers of Needle fleece exist and the top of the top layer a relief structure created by needling points.
To produce such a floor covering, the Invention a method in which the top layer not in the usual way into the lower layer is needled, but rather the needling of the The underside of the goods takes place, with the lower layer in the upper class is needled. With this needle the needling depth is so small that the Relief structure of the upper layer through the needling is not achieved. So the lower class is only in the area of the unstructured base part of the waiter layered into the needles through the needles Do not destroy the surface structure of the upper layer. This means that both layers are firmly connected and brought into fixed mutual association. On finally, it is impregnated with a binder from the top of the top layer. That in the Binding penetrating top layer, initially liquid soaks the upper layer and causes it to solidify, including the surface structure. The binder also penetrates into the border area of the two layers one whose fibers are embedded and bound by the binder can also be connected to each other. So that will achieved two things by the binder, namely one sometimes the two-layer structure, which is also structured by us Floor coverings intended to solidify the upper layer and on the other hand an additional bonding of the sub layer to the upper class.
The one produced by the process according to the invention Flooring consists of two firmly bonded together those needle punch layers, of which the top layer a three-dimensional surface structure after a has any given pattern. By ver driving succeeds the firm and permanent connection of both layers, resulting in a high shear strength of the Flooring is reached. Because the structured part the upper layer of the needle process not at all is detected, the structure previously created is experienced the needle operation no changes.
The needling of the lower layer preferably takes place in the upper layer up to a maximum of half the thickness of the Base part of the upper class. The base part is the un lower part of the upper layer, that of the surfaces structure of the top is not detected.
The invention further relates to a two-layer Needle felt flooring with the bottom layer in part of the layer thickness of the top layer is needled and in which both layers are the same Binder in from top to bottom contain increasing concentration. Some fibers of the Lower class prevail over the upper class, however only inside the base part. The binder works additional adhesion of the layers to each other.
The floor covering according to the invention is particularly suitable for tennis courts with a granulate coating, however its use is not limited to this. He can also as another, hard-wearing floor covering be used or as a doormat or doormat in Motor vehicles as well as runners or carpets. The cushioning lower layer reduces ver wear of the upper layer and it causes on the other hand a joint-friendly, softer pedaling behavior.
The following is with reference to the drawings an embodiment of the invention explained in more detail.

Referring to FIG. 1 a be needled from each standing topsheet 10 and backsheet 11 are supplied to a needle machine 12. The upper layer 10 lies below, with its structured upper side 13 facing downwards. The top layer 10 is made in a known manner from a multi-needled nonwoven fabric and is also structured by needles. The subsequent lower layer 11 also consists of a needled nonwoven fabric, which is however unstructured and thus has a constant layer thickness.
The barbed needles 14 of the needle machine penetrate from above through the upper lower layer 11 through into a part of the later lower layer 13 , while both layers are supported on the table 15 of the needle machine. The needles 14 perform vertical back and forth movements, while the layers 10 and 11 are continuously moved in the direction of arrow 16 through the needle machine.
When the composite layer 17 leaves the needle machine, numerous fibers of the lower layer 11 are needled into the underside of the upper layer 10 . Both layers are connected by mechanical interlocking of the fibers. The composite layer 17 is fed to an impregnation station 18 which, in the present exemplary embodiment, consists of a foulard. The foulard has two rollers 19 , 20 rotating in opposite directions, of which the lower roller 19 is immersed in a bath 21 containing the impregnating agent. The impregnating agent carried on the roller 19 is transferred in the roller gap to the structured upper side 13 of the later upper layer 10 . Subsequently, the composite layer 17 lies with the lower layer 11 on part of the circumference of the roller 20 and the material leaves the roller 20 with the lower layer 11 facing downward and the upper layer 10 pointing upward. Due to heavy force and capillary action, part of the binder penetrates from the upper layer 10 into the lower layer 11 . The floor covering is then fed to a dryer for hardening the binder.
Fig. 3 shows the finished floor covering 24 from the constructive-structured top layer 10 and bottom layer 11. Fibers 21 of the lower layer 11 extend beyond the parting plane 22 of the two layers into the upper layer 10 . The penetration depth is less than the thickness of the unstructured base part 23 of the top layer 10 . The depth of penetration is preferably less than half the thickness of the base part 23 .
By needling the upper class to the lower class is also achieved in the later treatment in the impregnation pad, both layers do not oppose each other move each other and that no wrinkling or Blistering occurs.
