Description
Supports for X-ray purposes. Light carriers for X-rays are known, in which the front and back of a layer carrier (film) that is as thin as possible are coated with emulsion. The light must be twice that of these layers blackened layer pass, and the contrast effect is strengthened in this way.
The same effect can be achieved with a simply coated substrate, when the base reflects the light rays as perfectly as possible. In the case of such a layer support, the base is graded according to the blackening of the layer is illuminated, and this stepped illuminated area then serves as the Light source when viewing such an image in the striking light. pre-condition is, however, (leave the reflective pad and layer in close proximity Are in touch with each other. Supports with a white background are generally known (on the one hand paper, on the other hand clear glass plates backed with frosted glass or paper). Both known presentations have disadvantages. In the case of the papers, as a result of the robbery Surface the sharpness of the drawing leaves a lot to be desired. With the deposited glass plates a gap cannot be eliminated due to the unevenness of the panels, so that annoying cast shadows arise when viewed in the incident light. These disadvantages are avoided if the layer is directly reflective on white Glass (opal glass, milk glass or ivory celluloid) is poured on. When considering of the finished negative in the incident light, the light rays must be twice the Shift. In addition, this results in a further saving of X-ray light one that the opal glass luminescent in X-ray light and the same effect as with exercises one of the known intensifying screens, the one for the effect of the intensifying screen so important contact between the layer and the luminous surface in the most ideal way is made without any auxiliary apparatus.
