Die Erfindung besteht darin, daß die an ihrem Umfang in sich geschlossenen Aussparungen des Films, z. B. runde Löcher darstellende Ausnehmungen, sowohl sich außerhalb des Bildfeldes und außerhalb der Perforationsöffnungen befinden, als auch. verschiedene Größe gegeneinander besitzen. Es gehören nämlich hierzu für jeden Befehl mindestens zwei verschieden große oder' mehrere Löcher jeder der beiden Größen. Soll beispielsweise die Färbung von fortlaufend in einer Behandlungsmaschine zu bearbeitenden Filmbändern in verschiedenen Farben selbsttätig durchgeführt werden, so muß erstens das Einstellen der gewünschten Farbe und zweitens das Einrücken und Aussetzen des Arbeitens des betreffenden Farbwerkes im richtigen Augenblick durch die Befehlslöcher für die Befehlsabfühlvorrichtung bewirkt werden. Hierdurch wird ein eindeutiges Abgreifen' und Auslösen der verschiedenen Befehle erreicht. Die Reihe der hintereinatiderliegenden BefehlsabgreÜfglied'er liegt längs dem Filmbandrande. Die Befehlsabgreifglieder enthalten eines von besonderen beispielsweise größeren Stärkeabmessungen. Werden z. B. Abgreifnadeln periodisch gegen das vorwärtsbewegte Filmband geführt, so wird nur dann der betreffende durch die kleineren Löcher vorbereitete und den diesen entsprechenden Abfühlstangen eingestellte Befehl zwecks Ausführung ausgelöst, wenn die größere Abfühlstange in das ihr entsprechende Befehlslochα von größeren Abmessungen eintreten kann.
