Abstract

The kitchen waste is disposed by a process communicating the waste prior to heating to a temp. of a least 100 deg.C. Then the waste is cooled to room temp. and fed in a pasty or crumbly state for an incinerator. After the material has been heated any moisture present is pref. removed by condensation. This moisture removal may take about 30 minutes and may be carried out in a vacuum. The waste weight reduction is typically 40%.
