Abstract

The door leaf is constructed from slats (4,4') which are joined to each other by hinges along their long horizontal edges. Rollers (5) are attached to the hinges and run in guide channels (2,3) to enable the door to be raised from its vertical, closed position to an overhead horizontal, open position. The slats are made from hollow sections with some of the slats of transparent material, whilst the remaining slats are opaque. The transparent slat is so positioned that it is at the user's eye level when the door is closed.
