Abstract

The present invention applies to the field of indoor or outdoor architecture and decoration, providing a novel type of venetian blind endowed with specific advantages. This blind comprises support bearings, equipped with a braking device, associated with joining pieces which are fitted at the ends of a profile and machined in order to form an orientation pulley as well as a shaft equipped with a groove serving for the positioning of a conical braking pawn element. The joining piece in the form of a piece of revolution, consisting of a central part (1), forming a grooved pulley and integral with a flat surface (2), is intended to receive a cord permitting action on the orientation of the slats of the blind. A stop (3) serves to bear, without play, against the support bearing, the pivoting shaft ensuring, via its bearing surfaces (4) and (5), a perfect rotation in the support bearing. A braking pawn element acts at the centre of the groove (6) in order to hold the whole of the blind in the required position. The joining piece is also pierced axially by a hole (7) in order to permit the passage of the cord for raising the blind. <IMAGE>
