Das Filterelement 4 weist zur Stützung an der Faltkante 6 ein umlaufendes Lochblech 9 auf. Der Aufbau des Filterelementes 4 entspricht dem üblicher Filter­ kerzen mit der Ausnahme, daß sein Querschnitt nicht kreiszylindrisch sondern viereckig ist.
