Kunststoffschaum hat nach seiner Herstellung nur eine äußerst ge ringe Biegefestigkeit. Das führt dazu, daß z. B. Platten aus Kunst stoffschaum sehr leicht brechen. Um dem zu begegnen, ist es bekannt, Schaum einseitig mit einem Putz zu versehen. Bei dem Putz handelt es sich um einen mineralischen Putz. Der Putz besitzt nach dem bekann ten Vorschlag eine Gewebeeinlage. Das erfüllt zwar den Zweck einer Armierung, hat aber verschiedene Nachteile. Zu den Nachteilen aber gehört u. a. das Transportgewicht und Transportvolumen des Putzes. Erfahrungsgemäß ist es unwirtschaftlich, Massengüter wie Putzmörtel über längere Entfernungen zu transportieren, wenn der Putz auch örtlich verfügbar ist. Ein anderer Nachteil ist die an sich geringe Haftung des Putzes an der Oberfläche des Kunststoffschaumes. Es bedarf erst einer umfangreichen Oberflächenbehandlung, bevor der Putz an dem Kunststoffschaum haftet.Plastic foam has only one extremely ge after its production rings bending strength.
