Abstract

A method for the production of a tube with a longitudinal seam for articles used in interior decoration, according to which a thin metal strip with a thickness of 0.1 to 1.5 mm is profiled to give a tube with a longitudinal seam and then coated with a plastic jacket. The technical problem is the production of a tube with a longitudinal seam in which the longitudinal seam has a firm join, can be produced economically and is protected by a coating. The tube is laser-welded while the longitudinal seam is compressed. The tube with the longitudinal seam is then cooled in a cooling section. The tube with the longitudinal seam is taken from the cooling section and introduced directly into an extruder for coating. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a longitudinal seam tube for interior decoration items, after which a thin metal band from 0.1 to 1.5 mm thick to a longitudinal seam tube and attached is finally coated with a plastic jacket.

Such interior decoration items are especially curtains steel, aluminum or brass tape. The longitudinal seam tube can be a round, an oval or another profiled cross have cut. In this case, a profiled tube is also used Understood material. The seam of such a longitudinal seam tube is excluded neatly difficult to stabilize because the metal band is thin and is compliant. A conventional weld is too open in practice agile, especially because the welding takes too much time and in as a result of the intense warming, a long cooling period is required makes. If you shape the longitudinal seam tube between profiling rollers, so the gap in the longitudinal seam can never completely disappear because of the tape springs back so that a narrow gap always remains open. This is particularly disadvantageous for painted tubes.

In addition, the unlocked longitudinal seam gapes under loads, especially tilting slightly, so that a telescopic gar sine bar sags or otherwise suffers in use. A Plastic coating is possible in principle, but results difficulties because of the plastic penetrate into the interior of the pipe through the open longitudinal seam can. The problem of lack of stability cannot be solved either remedy.

The object of the invention is the production of a longitudinal seam tube, where the longitudinal seam has a solid cohesion, economically  can be produced and is protected by a coating.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that under Squeezing the longitudinal seam is done by laser welding finally the longitudinal seam tube is cooled in a cooling section and that the longitudinal seam tube from the cooling section directly into one Extruder is introduced for coating.

The invention differs from the prior art in that than the laser weld seam has great strength. She is with usual working speeds of 10 to 50 m / min a profiling machine producible. The laser welding device can be connected to a Mount the pipe profiling machine without further ado. The material is ever because only in the local area of the laser focus on enamel temperature warmed. As a result, the entire pipe is heated sen so low that one is sufficient over a working distance of 1 to 2 m Cooling takes place, so that the longitudinal seam tube immediately of the cooling section into an extruder for coating that can. As a result, the procedure can be performed online. A plastic coating is obtained, which is used for the longitudinal seam tube offers optimal protection.

The invention also relates to a longitudinal seam tube for interior decoration rationsartikel from a thin metal band from 0.1 to 1.5 mm thickness, which is characterized in that the longitudinal seam as laser welding is formed and that a plastic coating the longitudinal surrounds the seam tube.

A profiling machine 1 for a longitudinal seam tube comprises a series of pairs of profiling rollers 2 , which continue to form the flat band and round when fed, so that the band is essentially completely rounded as it emerges from the last pair of profiling rollers 3 to form a longitudinal seam. The working speed of such a profiling machine is usually between 10 and 50 m / min.

Weitere Profi lierwalzen 7 halten die Laserschweißnaht bis zur ausreichenden Verfe stigung zusammen und verhindern so ein Aufspringen der Laserschweiß naht 9.Following the pair of profiling rollers 3 , two pressure rollers 4 are provided, the axes of which are aligned perpendicular to the axis of the profiling rollers. These pressure rollers 4 press the longitudinal seam together. Following the pressure rollers 4 , the longitudinal seam tube runs through a guide 5 of a laser welding device 6 . The laser beam of the laser welding device 6 continuously welds the longitudinal seam to form a laser welding seam 9 . A heating to the melting temperature of the metal occurs only in the laser beam focal point. As a result, the entire tube is only slightly heated. Other professional rollers 7 hold the laser weld seam together until sufficient reinforcement and thus prevent the laser welding seam from popping open. 9

A longitudinally welded longitudinal seam tube 8 leaves the profiling machine and is cooled online in a cooling section. At normal working speeds of a profiling machine, a cooling section of 1 to 2 m length is sufficient. The tube can then be easily coated.

The longitudinal seam tube 8 is introduced into an extruder 10 and coated with a plastic coating 11 in a continuous process. A coated longitudinal seam tube according to FIG. 4 is obtained in this way . As a result of the laser weld 9 , this longitudinal seam tube has a solid mechanical joint. The coating 11 improves this mechanical cohesion and gives excellent corrosion protection. No further protective treatment is required.

The belt can be taken from the roll, i.e. endlessly into the machine leads. On the other hand, it is also possible to have the tape in fixed lengths insert into the machine.
