Diese Art der Trägerverstärkung bedingt jedoch ein mehr oder weniger weitgehendes Abbauen der Brücke, weil auf den Hauptträgern die Fahrbahn ruht und unterhalb die Querverspannungen unmittelbar anschließen. Oben muß also die Fahrbahn und unten müssen die Ouerverbindungen gelöst werden, bevor die Verstärkungen aufgebracht werden können. Während dieser Arbeiten ist die Brücke gesperrt.
