Abstract

The sail-mast assembly comprises a first sail section (40) operatively connected to the mast (56,58) and at least one second sail section (42,44) removably attachable to the mast. The mast height is adjustable between heights where either the second section or sections is (or are) attached or removed. A curved upper edge of the second sail section is attachable to the foot of the first sail section. The sail, formed by both sections, is given a preselected amount of seam shape by such attachment.
