Abstract

A crate, for carrying at least four containers arranged in two rows, is formed from a single blank cut from cardboard or similar material. The blank is divided by parallel fold lines (3,4,7,8) into panels (2,5,6,10) which form the top, sides and base, respectively, of the crate. An extension to the side panel (6) has U-shaped cuts (12) and additional fold lines (15-17). These cuts and fold lines enable the extension to lie on the base (10) with the material enclosed by the U-shaped cuts to be folded upwards to form a low wall which separates the two lines of containers.
