Wenn man zur Herstellung von Zink oder Zinnüberzügen auf Metallen oder Metallegierungen Bäder aus den geschmolzenen Überzugsinetallen anwendet und in diese die zu überziehenden Gegenstände eintaucht, so ergibt sich häufig der Übelstand, daß das zu überziehende Metall angegriffen wird und teilweise in Lösung geht. Dies ist besonders dann unerwünscht, wenn es darauf ankommt, die Oberflächengestaltung des zu überziehenden Gegenstandes genau zu erhalten, ferner auch, wenn es darauf ankommt, ein fest bestimmtes Verhältnis zwischen zu überziehendem Metall und Überzugsmetall aufrechtzuerhalten. Letzteres ist beispielsweise dann der Fall, wenn die verzinkten oder verzinnten Gegenstände durch eine Erhitzung auf geeignet ausgewählte Temperaturen derart verändert werden sollen, daß der Zink- oder Zinnüberzug als solcher vollständig * verschwindet und sich an der Oberfläche eine Legierungsschicht bildet, deren Gehalt an dem Überzugsmetall nach außen hin allmählich und regelmäßig abnimmt.When going to manufacture zinc or tin coatings on metals or metal alloys using baths from the molten coating metals and in which the objects to be covered are immersed, the inconvenience often arises, that the metal to be coated is attacked and partially goes into solution. this is particularly undesirable when it comes to surface design of the object to be coated exactly, also if it is on it arrives, a fixed ratio between the metal to be plated and the plating metal maintain.
