Description

Arrangement for cooling electrical machines, in which the fan is driven by a special motor. It is known for electrical cooling Machines use a special motor to drive the fan, the part of the machine to be cooled, e.g. B. the field winding of the motor to be cooled, is connected in parallel. This influences the speed of the fan motor in such a way that It is used under high stress and, as a result, high noise level of the person to be cooled Motor adopts a high speed, increases the flow of cooling air from the fan and so a better cooling effect. These known arrangements all have the disadvantage that when the main engine is switched off, the vein is also switched off. With some Operating modes, however, it is desirable to run the fan motor even when it is not running of the engine to continue to operate in order to keep the engine running, for example during short Cooling down breaks in operation in which self-cooling is completely eliminated. Particularly Such an arrangement could advantageously be used in rail engines.

According to the invention, the fan motor is connected to a partial voltage of the network and the current supplied to himi via one of the current to be cooled -Iotors-influenced winding, z. B. a series transformer passed. The fan motor can continue to run even when the main engine is switched off, which is independent from the main motor running fan motor is already known, and so the above-mentioned Fulfill purpose. On the other hand, when the main motor is running, the fan motor in Depending on the current supplied to the main motor, so that he If the main motor consumes a lot of power, it runs faster and so does the cooling air flow in reinforced.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the new circuit for alternating current is shown in Fig. I. It means tii the motor to be cooled and z, the fan motor. The transformer feeding both machines is labeled t. The current supplied to your motor is passed through the primary winding of a series transformer, the secondary winding of which is traversed by your current from the fan motor. When the main motor is running, the transformer s supplies additional voltage, which increases the speed of the fan. The arrangement can be used particularly advantageously in rail engines in which continued cooling is desirable even during short breaks in operation.

In the case of direct current, a series transformer can be used instead of the series transformer Branch resistor or part of the motor winding to influence the fan motor current use. Fig. A - inclines an exemplary embodiment for this. Parallel to the Feldwick-Jung f, of the main motor in borrows a winding h, that of the excitation winding f_ of the fan motor v counteracts. This increases the field of the latter with increased power consumption of the main motor weakened and its speed increased.
