Abstract

1. Fin (1) made of aluminium or an aluminium alloy for the joint ribbing of several heat-exchanger tubes (14) of a finned tubular heat exchanger (22) in motor vehicles, in which ambient air as a first heat-exchanger fluid is guided along the surface of the fin (1) and a second heat-exchange fluid is guided into the heat-exchanger tubes (14), with a design of the fin (1) undulated in the direction of flow (2) of the first fluid, with joining sleeves (4) formed on in the fin (1) for connection to the heat-exchanger tubes (14), at least one wave crest (5) extending between two joining sleeves (4) mutually adjacent transversely relative to the direction of flow (2) of the first fluid, and with local air-guide profiles formed on from the undulated surface of the fin (1) in interspaces between the joining sleeves (4), characterized in that the air-guide profiles are bosses (6) in the finned tubular heat exchanger (22), in that the bosses (6) are arranged respectively on one flank (20) of the undulation, in that the particular boss (6) is at a distance from the two ends of the flank (20), and in that the heigt (f) of the bosses (6) is at least 15% and at most 80% of the fin spacing (b) in the finned tubular heat exchanger (22).
