The present invention relates to a spade that facilitates the digging of garden land,
in particular, it is intended to save stooping when digging. It consists of two articulated stems, one of which
one serves as a support, while the other, swinging, is the spade blade by means of an articulated lever
carries, which by means of this joint arrangement J first up and then, rotated about its longitudinal axis, moves forward
will.
Die Zeichnung stellt eine Ausführungsform dar. Abb.
Stiel g -beweglich und drehbar im Ring e und ;
An dem Stiel a
The drawing shows an embodiment. Fig. Ι is a side view, Fig. 2 is a front view, α is a handle which is provided with a shoulder δ at the bottom to prevent the rod from sinking into the ground. On the stem α, the rod d swings about the axis c. This carries the spade at its lower end by means of the ring β. The latter consists of the spade blade f, a short handle g and a helical rod h. Α on the stem of the lever is further arranged to i c and rotatable thereon to rotate the rod k /, which carries at its lower end the ring m. The spade rests with the handle g -movable and rotatable in the ring e and; with the other end, also movable and rotatable, in the ring M. A metal strip 0 is also arranged on the stem a in such a way that a slot p is created which serves as a guide for the rod h.
If you press the lever i downwards after the spade has been pierced into the ground and loosened by tightening the handle α , the spade is brought into a horizontal position by means of the rod I , whereby the clod of earth is excavated on the spade blade f. If the lever i is moved further downwards, it presses on the nose η attached to the oscillating rod d and swings the rod d forward. This also moves the spade, which is now in a horizontal position, forward. The helical rod h is passed through the slot j> . The spade is thereby rotated around its longitudinal axis and throws off the clod of earth on it. The spade blade can also be rotated by means of a lever device or another equivalent device instead of guiding the helical rod h in the slot f. The arrangement of the moving parts on a simple rod α has the advantage over other devices that the handling of the device, in particular the piercing into the ground, can be carried out as with any other spade and the ground can be loosened by tightening the rod α.
