Device for automatic activation of a spare battery
Alternating current generating light dynamo machines for vehicles. To even when standing
Vehicle with alternating current generating dynamo machines, e.g. B. for bicycles and automobiles,
Having light, one has moved on to attach a spare battery. These
had to be switched on and off by a lever switch "-grounded when the bicycle
stopped or when it was started again, cla the alternating current of
Dvnamo machine and the spare 1> battery direct current are not fed into the at the same time
Light bulb allowed to flow. So as not to look for the replacement battery lever in the dark
to have to search, the innovation described below has been created,
which are automatic when the vehicle changes from movement to rest and vice versa
the one or. Switching off the replacement battery causes.
in Bewegung setzt.
Abb.
The new arrangement is shown in Fig. I @ in a vertical section. At one end of the dynamo \ velle 7r, the rubber ring R sits. B. runs on a bicycle in a known manner on the rim of the front wheel and sets the Dvnaino machine in motion. The rubber ring R sits firmly on a socket B, which runs loosely on the head 7x and cannot be moved axially. In the socket B an inclined slot S of about 180 ° is incorporated. A pin runs in the slot S and sits firmly on the shaft w. A spiral spring F is attached to the pin, the other end of which is firmly connected to the socket B. A fiber or hard rubber disk H sits firmly on the shaft w. To the right of the hard rubber disk H sit the two thin contact springs f1 and f_, which are isolated on the dynamo housing D and are compressed by the hard rubber disk H when the vehicle is stationary. The lead wires rrt and n lead from the two springs f1 and f to one pole each of the replacement battery K and the incandescent lamp G. The dynamo shaft w has little play in its bearings in one direction (in -ex. I to the left). Fig. 2 shows the socket B with your slot S with a moving shaft w. Ahb. 3 is a section along the line 1'-Y of Fig. 2. The mode of operation is as follows: When the bicycle moves, the front wheel rotates the rubber ring R and the bush B in the direction of the arrow P indicated in Fig. 3 Socket B takes the pin along with it by means of spring F and thus also the dynamo shaft w. The spiral spring F is gradually tensed by this load. Since the socket B runs firmly in its bearings, the dynamo shaft, on the other hand, has an axial clearance (about 1.5 to 2.0 mm), the pin s is forced to move in the slot S from point a to point b while it is moving , ie the Dynaniowelle u, has shifted from right to left in Fig. i (Fig. 2). -.% lit her the fiber plate H has also shifted to the left and the springs f1 and f = released, which now come out of contact, so that the circuit of the replacement battery is opened.
If the bicycle is stopped, the pin s slides under the action
of the train of the spiral spring F in the slot S back into the position d. Here
shaft w is pushed to the right again and the circuit of the replacement battery is closed.
