Description

Imitation of lace handicrafts or the like on glass. The invention has as its subject a process by means of the known exposure process to imitate all kinds of lace work on glass and essentially consists of that one side of the glass is prepared with a light-sensitive layer, according to exposed after covering with the patterns to be imitated, then the copied Developed the image, stained the remaining gelatin layer as desired and finally the whole side of the layer is covered with a white oil painting. The white oil painting if given from the unprepared side of the glass, this automatically results Top picture, because the colored layer, which here at the same time forms the ground, the white oil paint cannot be recognized, while the one in the copied image is immediately apparent located on the clear glass and therefore visible to the eye (even with the greatest delicacy the threads and the tightness of the meshes) clearly emerges with extraordinary clarity. The white oil paint also aims to be inviolable and durable the photosensitive layer without affecting the coloration thereof, and also has the advantage of being lightfast. First the new thought of the white Oil paint makes it possible by way of the above-described exposure process To imitate lace work in as great perfection as it does in reproduction of delicacy and. Sharpness of the picture, intense effect of the white color and thus the overall impression by no other process, be it by printing or by peeling o. The like., is to be achieved.

The experiments have shown that with the help of this the most precious handicrafts in such a simple and cheap way can imitate deceptively that the imitation with the right choice of pattern and the colored background v is difficult to distinguish in a real handicraft is. The imitations described are intended as glass inserts for all types of tablets and tables can be used.
