Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Isoliergefäßen mit Kupferbelag. Bei der Herstellung von Isolierflaschen mit Kupferbelag ergibt sich eine Schwierigkeit daraus, daß der Kupferbelag infolge Oxydation teilweise in Kupferoxyd übergeht und die so hergestellten Flaschen minderwertig sind. Wie sich herausgestellt hat, tritt die Oxydbildung namentlich dann ein, wenn die Flaschen feucht längere Zeit der Einwirkung von Luft ausgesetzt sind. Wenn man die Oxydation des Kupfers nicht vermeidet, muß man bei dem späteren Auspumpen, um blanke Spiegel zu erhalten, den Kupferbelag reduzieren, wobei natürlich Wasserdampf entsteht, der das Auspumpen bis zu einem Hochvakuum wesentlich erschwert.Process for the production of insulating vessels with a copper coating. at The manufacture of vacuum flasks with a copper coating results in a difficulty from the fact that the copper coating partially changes into copper oxide as a result of oxidation and the bottles produced in this way are inferior. Hierdurch wird es möglich, vor dem Auspumpen die verkupferten Flaschen, ohne daß eine Oxydation der Kupferspiegel eintritt, beliebig lange aufzubewahren. Man erhält beim Auspumpen blanke Kupferspiegel, die entweder gar nicht oder nur einer ganz geringen Reduktion durch Wasserstoff bedürfen, um einen tadellosen Spiegel zu ergeben. Hierdurch wird die Leistungsfähigkeit der Pumpeinrichtung wesentlich erhöht, da die Leistung der Vakuumpumpe nicht durch den in den Isolierflaschen sonst vorhandenen Wasserdampf, der auch bei der Oxydation des Kupferoxyds entsteht, verlangsamt wird.These disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that as far as possible soon after the mirror coating and washing out, the insulating vessels for vacuum drying be subjected to a special operation at relatively low temperatures.
