Es hat sich nämlich gezeigt, daß der Zerfall der Nickelsulfide vorzugsweise in der Weise verläuft, daß der an Nickel gebundene Schwefel als elementarer Schwefel abgeschieden wird. Weiter verläuft die Reaktion zwischen der Luft und dem Nickelsulfid rascher, als dies beim Kupfersulfid der Fall ist. Infolgedessen können bei der technischen Durchführung des Verfahrens die zur Regeneration der Waschflüssigkeit nötigen Einheiten erheblich kleiner gewählt werden, was einen nicht zu unterschätzenden Vorteil des neuen Verfahrens darstellt. Das Verfahren bewährt sich auch bei solchen Gasen, welche neben Schwefelwasserstoff Blausäure oder ihre Verbindungen enthalten. Man gewinnt hierbei die Blausäure durch einen eigentümlichen Umsetzungsprozeß zwischen dem CN-Rest und dem Sulfid in Form von Rhodan.It has now been shown that, in the same way as copper, also nickel can be converted into soluble form by the action of the air from nickel sulphides can.
