Description
Process for the simultaneous recording and reproduction of photographs and sound waves. Addendum to Patent 358848. The invention relates to another Training and modification of the procedure for the purpose of increasing the volume during playback Increase the sound waves at will and the positive films in the same way as previously used Shape, d. H. with a light-sensitive gelatin layer.
The recording process is retained unchanged, the negative film becomes with his photographs and with aden recorded sound waves in the form of lines on: copied from a normal positive film, this does not happen as before mostly usual in jerks, but, as is known, with continuous progression of the films through a narrow gap.
The positive film obtained is developed, fixed and dried. Then a second narrow gelatin layer is sprayed onto the gelatin layer side, which only needs to be so wide that it completely covers the sound wave images. The thickness of this sprayed-on layer can be determined by the concentration of the gelatin solution and regulate it by the speed of the positive film, which is moving evenly. The entire positive film is now immersed in potassium or ammonium dichromate and exposed to light for a long time after drying, in the manner that d @ ate the film is wound face down on a drum. , By the effect of light is first that evenly distributed on the positive film Layer (primary layer) fully tanned, the second narrow (secondary layer) on the other hand only according to the sound wave pattern, d. H. the dark places less, the light spots more. The film is then immersed in hot water. Here the photos or the entire primary layer are not attacked because they fully tanned by the light, while from the secondary: layer the dark areas are more or less resolved, so that a relief of the sound waves arises, which is very sharply adapted to the lines of the sound wave images, because the secondary layer rests directly on the scarf wave images.
