Auf der Rückseite der Herd­ wandung 1, und zwar auf den abgekröpften Öffnungsrand 3 aufgesetzt, ist ein allge­ mein mit 4 bezeichnetes Lampengehäuse. Beim Ausführungsbeispiel besteht dieses Lampengehäuse im wesentlichen aus einer äußeren, ringförmigen Hülse 5 mit Hül­ senflansch 5′, wobei der Durchmesser der äußeren Hülse 5 etwa dem Durchmesser der Öffnung 2 entspricht, und aus einer inneren, ebenfalls metallischen Hülse 6 mit Hülsenflansch 6′, wobei die lichte Weite dieser inneren Hülse geringer ist als die halbe Wellenlänge der Mikrowellenstrahlen. An den Hülsenflanschen 5′, 6′ sind die beiden Hülsen z.B. mittels Schrauben S oder Nieten miteinander fest und dicht ver­ bunden. Die äußere Hülse 5 besitzt ferner einen Kragenflansch 5′′, mit welchem das gesamte Lampengehäuse mit dem abgekröpften Öffnungsrand 3 z.B. unter Zwischen­ lage einer metallisch leitenden Dichtung verbunden ist. In die innere Hülse 6 am rückwärtigen Ende eingesetzt ist eine Lampenfassung 7, in die eine Lampe 8 ein­ setzbar ist, wobei in der eingesetzten Stellung diese Lampe einschließlich ihrer Glühwendeln über die frontseitige Begrenzung der inneren Hülse 6 und den Öffnungs­ rand der Herdwandung 1 leicht hinaus ragt. Mit 9 ist eine linsenförmige, transparen­ te Abdeckung aus Glasmaterial bezeichnet, die im Anschluß an den linsenförmigen Teil einen Befestigungsstutzen 10 besitzt, auf dem eine Schraubwindung 11 ange­ formt ist. Mit dieser Schraubwindung ist die transparente Abdeckung 9 in die äußere Hülse 5 einschraubbar, wozu diese äußere Hülse 5 eine entsprechende Gegenschraub­ windung 12 trägt. An dem vorgenannten Befestigungsstutzen 10 befestigt ist eine weitere, zylindrische Hülse 13, die aus einem paramagnetischen Material, z.B. aus Edelstahl besteht. Diese Hülse besitzt am Umfang Federansätze 14, mit denen diese Hülse 13 am Befestigungsstutzen 10 der gläsernen Abdeckung 9 verrastet und damit fixiert ist. Um eine bestmögliche Ausleuchtung des Ofenraumes zu erhalten, kann die innere Hülse 6 mit einer Perforation versehen sein.
