Die Erfindung geht aus von der Erkenntnis, daß Leistungsverluste aller Art gering gehalten werden müssen, wenn zusammen mit der allgemeinen Betriebstemperatur des Zahnradgetriebes auch die Spitzentemperaturen an den Last flanken gering bleiben sollen, weil diese Spitzentemperaturen eine wesentliche Ursache für Schäden an den Zahnflanken sind. Die Erfindung geht aus von der Erkenntnis, daß die Kühlung der Lastflanken dort am wirksamsten ist und damit den geringsten Ölstrom erfordert, wo ihre Temperatur am höchsten ist, daß ein Ölfilm auf den Lastflanken nur während des Eingriffs erforderlich ist, daß es für diesen Ölfilm eine optimale Dicke gibt, bei der einerseits die metallische Berührung weitgehend vermieden wird und andererseits noch kein störender Leistungsverlust durch Quetschöl, durch Ölverdrängung durch enge Spalte, entsteht, ud daß der Aufbau eines solchen Ölfilmes kurz vor dem EingrIff der geringsten Ölstrom erfordert. Die Erfindung geht aus von der Erkenntnis, daß das Drucköl, das kurz nach dem Eingriff zur Kühlung zugeführt wird, manchmal schon einen zur Schmierung ausreichenden Clfilm erzeugt, so daß kurz vor dem Eingriff kein weiteres Drucköl zugeführt werden muß.
