Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fuel line for high pressures, especially the feed in the nozzle holder Fuel injection nozzle of an internal combustion engine, with a lateral connection for the fuel supply, the inside of the nozzle holder of one in the tip The first hole runs at an angle to the central axis by angling into an axially or coaxially extending reaches the second hole and in this to the injection nozzle to be led.
DE-OS 20 59 793 also deals with a fuel injector for an internal combustion engine, the fuel being supplied through a lateral bore in the nozzle holder. This first hole merges into a second hole that runs at an acute angle and is connected to the system of the injection nozzle. It has now been shown that under high pressure loads in the area of this intersection of bores, cracks can occur in the walls, which can be attributed in particular to the high loads that occur suddenly. The cracks that form are initially small and enlarge in the course of operation so that they eventually lead to leaks, which can ultimately result in fires, injuries, etc.
The invention is therefore based on the object Fuel line of the type outlined below To improve the application of the simplest possible means that cracks in the fuel line in the nozzle holder serving holes and the resulting disadvantages described can be avoided with certainty.
The object is achieved in that the as a line of fuel in the nozzle holder at an angle to each other running two holes with an all-round Lining is provided by a in the holes pressed-in one-piece tube is formed.
By lining the holes with a tube from one suitable material can cause cracks in the nozzle holder Security can be avoided. The pipe can be used for lining be made relatively thin-walled, since the outer Pipe wall well supported on all sides against the bore walls is. Another advantage of such a fuel line lies in the simple and inexpensive design justified.
In the context of the invention, it has proven to be expedient if the pipe from the side connection for the Fuel line pressed into the angled holes is.
In a further development of the invention, the pipe is in its Press tool facing area hardened.
To seal the pipe against one to be connected Fuel line and for the installation of a press tool it is advantageous if at the outer end of the tube Flange is arranged, the diameter of which is smaller, than the connection designed as a threaded hole for the Fuel line.
An embodiment of the invention is as follows Described in more detail using the drawing. The only figure shows a section through a nozzle holder with a pressed as a fuel line pipe according to the invention.
A nozzle holder 1 for a fuel injection nozzle of an internal combustion engine has an internally threaded connection 2 for a fuel line. The fuel line and an associated injection pump for the fuel are not shown for the sake of simplicity. The connection 2 for the fuel line merges within the nozzle holder 1 into an inclined bore 3 , which has a much smaller diameter than the connection 2 . The bore 3 opens out at an acute angle in a vertical bore 4 running centrally in the nozzle holder 1 , the diameter of which corresponds to that of the bore 3 . The bore 4 merges into a bore 6 of smaller diameter in the lower region after a conical part 5 , which leads to the system of the injection nozzle. In the bore 3 and the part of the bore 4 located behind the junction there is a one-piece tube 7 which is pressed in from the connection 2 . At the outer end of the tube 7 there is a flange 8 which corresponds approximately to the diameter of the connection 2 . The flange 8 is used to grip a press tool and, in the installed state, has the function of a double-sided sealing surface for the seat of a fuel line. For the press-in process there is a mandrel 10 in the tube 7 , the mandrel of which is adapted to the inside diameter and which preferably consists of spring steel of medium hardness. The mandrel 10 has the task of avoiding undesirable deformations of the tube 7 during the press-in process. After the pipe 7 has been pressed into the bores 3, 4 , the mandrel 10 is pulled out in the direction of the arrow 11 using a suitable device. An additional measure to avoid undesirable deformations of the tube 7 during the pressing-in process is that the tube 7 is hardened in its region 12 facing the flange. When the tube 7 is pressed in , a lubricant, for example molybdenum sulfite, is used to reduce the friction between it and the walls of the bores 3, 4 . Such a lubricant can of course also be used for the mandrel 10 . The part of the bore 4 located above the tube 7 is filled by a rod 15 which is adapted to the outer circumference of the tube 7 on its lower end face. For this purpose, the rod 15 is inserted from above into the bore 4 before the bore 3 is drilled and is designed as a screw 16 for anchoring in the bore 4 in its upper part. A fuel line 14 is screwed into the thread in the connection 2 of the nozzle holder 1 and is connected to the associated injection pump.
