Verfahren zur Gewinnung von eisenarmen Alaunen. Der Aufschluß von Tonen und Kaolinen kann bekanntlich in der Weise erfolgen, daß die Gemische dieser Substanzen mit Sch-,vefelsäure, Sulfaten oder Bisulfaten auf höhere Temperatur erhitzt werden. Hierbei wird bei AnwendungvonAmmoniumsulfat (vgl. Patentschrift 198707 der K1. 12 m) auf eine Temperatur von q.00° erhitzt, um einen vollständigen Aufschluß unter Bildung von Aluminiumsulfat herbeizuführen. Das erhaltene Aluminiumsulfat bzw. der erhaltene Alaun ist hierbei durch das in 'den Mineralien enthaltene Eisen stark verunreinigt.Process for the extraction of low-iron alums.
