Nach dem geschützten Verfahren wird die zirkulierende Absorptionsflüssigkeit vor ihrer Rückkehr in den Absorptionsprozeß mit frischer Luft oder anderen sauerstoffhaltigen Gasen im Gegenstrom ausgeblasen. Die Anwendung sauerstoffhaltiger Gase wurde deswegen vorgeschlagen, um die nitrosen Gase, die in der Hauptsache aus N2 03 bestehen, zu N2 0, zu oxydieren. Da,es j edoch bei dem Verfahren in der Hauptsache darauf ankommt, die Absorptionsflüssigkeit von nitrosen Gasen zu befreien, um der Absorptionsflüssigkeit eine stärkere Absorptionsfähigkeit zu verleihen, ist die Anwesenheit von Sauerstoff im Gasstrom nicht unbedingt notwendig. Es genügen für die Ausblasiezwecke auch Gase, wie Stickstoff, gereinigte Rauchgase, die überhaupt keinen Sauerstoff enthalten. Es tritt dabei lediglich eine geringfügige Vermehrung des zu absorbierenden Gasquantums durch inerte Gase ein, die aber für die Wirksamkeit der Absorption nicht von Belang ist.According to the protected process, the circulating absorption liquid is blown out in countercurrent with fresh air or other oxygen-containing gases before it is returned to the absorption process.
