Description

Braun tube, especially for measuring purposes. The well-known ones in the trade The usual Braunsehen tubes, which are made with gas filling, have the unpleasant ones Property of changing their degree of hardness while working, thereby increasing accuracy the measurements to be made with the tubes (e.g. current and voltage diagrams) is significantly affected. This imperfection is partly due in the presence of massive pieces of metal inside the tube, such as those for the cylindrical anode and the plate-shaped capacitor can be used. at the Braunsehen tube according to the invention, this drawback is eliminated by that the anode and the capacitor plates made of glass and with a suitable Way to be applied, well adhering metal coating, e.g. B. made of silver or platinum be provided. Such thin metal layers can be largely degassed, than is the case with the massive pieces of metal, which are also produced by the smelting process have absorbed more or less uncleanliness of all kinds. Particularly The use of such metal-coated glass parts is advantageous if the Braun tube, as it is already known, is equipped with hot cathodes and works with a very high vacuum (electron vacuum), as is the case with transmitter tubes is common. The metal coating can be applied to the glass body by known methods will. Eggs can also be produced by pollination.

For the same reasons that the anode and capacitor plates are designed as incandescent bodies, it is also recommended in place of the previously used mica plate of the fluorescent screen located in the tube To use glass plate, which is advantageously aasgeschmelt on the tube wall and is coated with the fluorescent substance.
