Abstract
The circulator has a cylindrical ferrite core providing a static magnetic field. The ferrite core is dimensioned so that for the operating frequency two closely adjacent higher order modes are provided instead of the base oscillation mode of the ferrite core. Pref. the frequency spacing between the two higher order oscillations modes is less than 10 per cent of their arithmetic mean value. The operating frequency pref. lies in the range definedby the H011 and the H211 oscillation modes.
