Contact lines for electric main railways are almost always high-voltage kits,
which are suspended in a known manner on tension wires on post insulators. the
Post insulators, which are made of porcelain, are only pressed and bent in this type of suspension, but not
stressed on train. Because porcelain can be used as an insulating material for this,
ίο has the advantage of the listed design type that the insulation value is permanently
remains higher. In the case of a single-pole catenary, the type of tension wire suspension can be used
perform without any particular difficulty. The circumstances are not so favorable
if the contact line has to be designed with multiple poles, for example for three-phase railways.
The use of post insulators with multi-pole contact lines does not offer any advantages
rather, suspension insulators which consist of iron parts pressed around with hard rubber are preferred, and which ones
have high tensile strength. The isolation value that will be maintained here
can, of course, must be lower than with a porcelain insulator.
The invention now forms a suspension insulator, in which a porcelain body is used as the insulator, which is supported on the outer circumference on cams of a metal fitting, and in which a cylindrical metal tube is spread apart by screwing a conical threaded nipple into its slotted end and is pressed onto the insulator. The outer support points are below the inner points of application for the tensile load, so that the porcelain body itself is only subjected to pressure. With this embodiment, the new suspension insulator has the same insulation value as the porcelain post insulators and also has a high level of tensile strength. In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, through Fig. 1 partly in side view, partly in section, and through Fig. 2 in section along line AB of Fig. 1. i The metal armature α has three at the lower edge 120 0 offset cam l · and is placed from above over the head of the porcelain insulator c , which has three cutouts d offset by 120 0 ; by turning it by 60 °, the metal armature α moves into the position shown in Fig. 1. In order to secure the insulator c against rotation, the two screws e are screwed in; Instead of "this type of securing, the cavities formed by the cut-outs d can be filled with insulator cement. The drip edges f arranged at the lower end of the porcelain insulator can be adapted to the operating conditions, as can the metal protective screen g and the type of attachment h. This is used to suspend the catenary Metal tube i, which is provided at the lower end with an external thread, onto which a contact wire clamp, for example, can be screwed. Its upper end is slotted and provided with an internal thread; by screwing in the conical threaded nipple k , the slotted end of the metal tube i is spread apart and against the perforated wall of the Pressed insulator c ; here, too, the cavities can be filled with insulator putty.
