Der Zweck des vorliegenden Ofens ist, die im Wohnraum befindliche verbrauchte schlechte Luft auf eine jeden Zugwind ausschliefsende Weise abzuleiten. Derselbe ist in beiliegender Zeichnung in Ansicht und im Längsschnitt dargestellt. Es ist hier ein vorn unverschlossener Kaminofen angenommen, auf dessen Herd das Feuer frei brennt. Der Rauch nebst den anderen Verbrennungsproducten tritt in der Richtung des eingezeichneten Pfeiles aus dem Feuerraum α in den Kanal b, vertheilt sich hier in mehrere .Kanäle c, durch welche er zuerst in horizontaler, dann in verticaler Richtung aufwärts zum Sammelraum d geführt wird, aus welchem er durch die Oeffnungen e in die Kanäle f und aus diesen durch das Abzugsrohr g in den Schornstein tritt. Diese Construction ist hier nur beispielsweise angenommen und kann, da es im vorliegenden Falle nicht auf dieselbe ankommt, durch jede andere beliebige, z. B. die eines amerikanischen oder gewöhnlichen Füllofens, ersetzt werden. Als neu an dem Ofen wird nur das Kanalsystem beansprucht, durch welches die verbrauchte schlechte Luft aus dem Wohnraum in den Kamin entweicht.The purpose of the present stove is to evacuate the stale bad air in the living space in a way that eliminates any draft. Ueber dem Feuerraum α ist in der ganzen Breite des Ofens der horizontal liegende Kanal / angebracht, welcher sich in den vertical verlaufenden Kanal η fortsetzt, der dann seinerseits wieder in den horizontal liegenden und zum Kamin führenden Kanal m mündet. Durch kleine, in Ornamentplatten angebrachte und deshalb kaum bemerkbare Kanäle tritt die schlechte Luft in den Kanal / und aus diesem durch den Kanal η bezw. in in den Kamin. Ueber dem Kanal / ist ebenfalls in der ganzen Breite des Ofens ein zweiter horizontal liegender Kanal k angebracht, welcher mit den durch die Scheidewand o, die Vorderwand h und die zwischen diesen beiden angebrachten Scheidewände i gebildeten Kanäle t in Communication steht. Die letztgenannten Kanäle münden ebenfalls in den Kanal in.
