Nach dem Verfahren wird z. B. der Schwefeldampf, der durch: Erhitzung von Schwefel in geeigneten Behältnissen erzeugt und vorteilhaft durch Einleiten von inerten Gasen, Dämpfen oder verdampfenden Flüssigkeiten in den geschmolzenen Schwefel aus den Behältnissen ausgetrieben wird, entweder direkt oder nachdem er geeignete Kammern passiert hat, auf oder in ruhende oder bewegte oder z. B. durch Zerstätuben fein verteilte Flüssigkeiten .geleitet, die im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Flüssigkeiten, z. B. im Gegensatz zu Wasser, das den Schwefel in dieser feinen Verteilung nicht eindringen läßt, die Eigenschaft besitzen, die feinsten Schwefelteilchen aufzunehmen bzw. eindringen zu lassen, ohne daß sie zusammenballen, und die diesefeinsten Teilchen, nachdem: sie durch Verdunsten, Filtrieren, Zentrifugieren oder auf andere geeignete Weise von der Flüssigkeit getrennt sind, als feinstes Schwefelpulver zurücklassen. Als geeignete Flüssigkeiten kommen u. a. Alkohol, Methylalkohol, Aceton, Benzin, Schwefelkohlenstoff, Trichloräthylen sowie Mischungen dieser Flüssigkeiten und sonstige obige Eigenschaften besitzende Flüssigkeiten in Frage.According to the method, for.
