Description

Process for the production of aluminum alloys. In patent 314999 is a process for the production of aluminum alloys with copper, tin, antimony and magnesium as alloy components, the essence of which is that a third of the copper is replaced by manganese copper.

The subject of the present invention is a further development of the method according to the main patent. In aluminum alloys in which part of the copper has been replaced by manganese copper, it has been found that the tin content is 6 percent, as in the embodiment example of Adel's main patent, with the remaining proportions of the remaining components unchanged, the alloy only cold: can be treated, which makes rolling and drawing very difficult. Surprisingly, by reducing the tin content to 2 to 4 percent with an otherwise unchanged ratio of the components of the alloy according to the main patent, the aluminum alloy produced in this way can be processed not only cold but also hot, in particular rolled and drawn. This is an extraordinary advantage because it makes the alloy while retaining all the properties of the alloy according to the main patent for a variety of purposes, but especially for the production of sheets and: wires warm state as a result, much easier, cheaper and 'faster to process is.
