Erfindungsgegenstand ist ein Verfahren zur Erhöhung der Festigkeit und Elastizität von Wolle, Haaren oder Federn, welches,dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, .daß man .das zu behandelnde Material mit Alkaloiden behandelt.Process - to increase the strength and elasticity of wool, Hair or feathers. Die Menge des verwendeten Alkaloides beträgt zweckmäßig 2 bis 5 Prozent vom Gewicht des zu behandelnden Materials oder bedarfsweise auch mehr. Sodann wird,die Wolle geschleudert und getrocknet. - Eine andere AüsführungSform des Verfahrens besteht darin, daß man z. B. Wolle in Strangförni während des Färbens, z. B. finit _Chromierüngsfarbstoffen, gleichzeitig mit Alkaloidlösung behandelt, indem -man ,das Alkaloid in obiger Menge der Farbflotte zusetzt und in ,gewöhnlicher Weise bedarfsweise - in saurer Lösung färbt. Für Stückware, auch Halbwolle, kann man so verfahren, daß man entweder vor oder während des Färbens oder vor oder während des Appretierens mit Alkaloidlösung behandelt, z.
