Abstract

The connecting element for components of a grid clamping system for clamping workpieces has mounting elements (20, 21) on a clamping plate (10). The mounting elements (20, 21) are fastened by means of threaded clamping bolts (30). The latter have a threaded part (30.1) which is screwed into the thread (14.1 or 15.1) of the tapped holes or tapped-hole parts (14.1, 15.1, 22.1, 23.1). Its straight-shank part (30.2) has an annular groove (35) with two tapered surfaces disposed at an angle to one another. The point (36) of a clamping screw (25) is supported on the top tapered surface. When the clamping screw (25) is tightened, it clamps the clamping element (20 or 21) in place on the clamping surface (11) of the location clamping plate (10). The straight-shank part (30.6) can be dimensioned to be so long that it engages in an allocated mating-bore part (15.2 or 23.3) and thereby brings about accurate alignment with the mating-bore part (22.2) of the mounting element (21). <IMAGE>
