Device for achieving synchronous running of a speech set
with a picture viewing device, in particular a blutoskop. The subject of the invention
is a device for achieving synchronous running of a speech set
with a picture viewing apparatus, in particular a mutoscope, in which the two apparatuses
are connected to each other by worm gear drive.
The novelty of the invention is that the sound groove of the phonogram carrier
on their part, which initially has a steep incline, at certain intervals with numbers
or marks is provided, the position of which is chosen so that when passing the respective
Mark on the switch pin with the corresponding mark or number
Image of the mutoscope falling down. Through this facility, there is an accurate cooperation
a speaking device and a mutoscope guaranteed. The images of the mutoscope
can recordings of cabaret and performing artists passing by bands,
ceremonial performances and especially dance performances.
The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely in FIGS. I and 2 a the record of the speaking apparatus, b the sound box with the tonearm and horn (indicated by dashed lines). In the middle of the record a, which has three through-holes, a stand c with a bayonet catch d is placed in such a way that it is firmly connected to the record and the turntable of the speaking apparatus. On its axis, which protrudes vertically upwards, it carries a worm thread which engages in the gear wheel e. This sits on the axis f, which is mounted at g and h and engages with a worm in the gear i of the mutoscope m. The mutoscope, the individual images of which are numbered one after the other, is given a special drive by a clockwork or, as indicated in the drawing, by the weight k. However, as a result of the worm drive, it cannot transfer this movement to the turntable; rather, it only influences the movement in the direction from the speaking device to the mutoscope.
Fig.3 zeigt eine Schallplatte schematisch dargestellt.
An ihrem anfangs in großer Steigung geführten Teil
Fig. 3 shows a record shown schematically. She wears,
As with previous records, the sound waves are buried in the form of a
Spiral starting from the outside. At the beginning of the steep slope
is the spiral or sound groove according to the invention with small cross marks i, 2,
3, 4 5, 6, which are attached at certain intervals.
The mode of operation of the device is as follows: After the record
is placed on top and fastened with the bayonet catch, you can bring it through slowly
Turn the first image of the mutoscope on the record of the speaking device
Fall, then you put the sound box b on the record, on the mark
2 or, the third or fourth image in the Mutoscope falls on the corresponding one
Record brand. Briefly helping with your hand on the turntable will
the whole apparatus then set in motion, and it is now due to the constant
Rotation speed of the turntable, exact correspondence between the speaking device and the mutoscope.
Of course, when recording the plates and mutoskopbilder by a
Any simple mechanical coupling for evenly fast cooperation
both devices must be taken care of and the selected gear ratio in the playback device
be the same. The position of the marks on the sound groove can be determined by trial and error or
can be found microscopically.
