Hierzu wird der umhüllte Tabakstrang 13 in die Zigarettenpapierhülse 10 eingeführt und zwar mit dem filterstückfreien Ende voraus soweit, bis er gegen den Stützpropfen 11 stößt. Wie Figur 2 erkennen läßt, ragt der Tabakstrang mit seinem Filterstück 16 im voll eingeschobenen Zustand an dem dem Stützpropfen 11 abgewandten Ende der Zigarettenpapierhülse aus dieser heraus. An diesem Ende kann beim Überführen des Tabakstrangs 13 samt Filterstück 16 in die Zigarettenpapierhülse 10 die Stranghülle 14 festgehalten werden.
