Wollte man z. B. mehrere Erdalkalimetalle allein verwenden, so
° Verwendet man dagegen gleichzeitig
Alloy of lead with light metal. The subject of the invention is
an alloy in which lead not only with one light metal, but with several
Light metals is combined at the same time, among which at least one alkali metal each
and must be an alkaline earth metal (including magnesium). Because it has
Surprisingly, the result is that when several light metals are added, the
good properties of the individual added light metals, e.g. B. regarding
the hardening, add up, on the other hand the harmful effects only occur to the extent that
in which the individual light metal is added. It is not enough, however, to have several arbitrary ones
To add light metals, since the harmful effects of the alkali and
Alkaline earth metals lie in different directions within each of these groups
but in the same. If you wanted to z. B. use several alkaline earth metals alone, so
the addition to achieve sufficient hardness would have to be so great that the
Alloy would show a disproportionately high burn-up when remelting. at
Using several alkali metals alone would result in the alloy being sufficiently hard
have too little air resistance. ° If you use it at the same time
at least one alkali metal and one earth metal each, so the total addition can be
of light metal and thus the hardening effect to a far greater extent than
when using a single light metal without affecting the harmful properties
make yourself felt to a noticeable degree. The alloys can be modified by adding
improve one or more heavy metals even further, as a result of the present
several light metals to a far greater extent than when heavy metals are added
to alloys of lead with a single light metal is possible.
Kupfer, Zink u. a. verwendet werden.
Suitable alloys are, for example, those of lead with calcium, sodium and barium, of lead with calcium, sodium and strontium or of lead with barium, sodium and strontium. o Tin, antimony, copper, zinc, etc. can be used as improving heavy metals. The amount of light metals used is relatively small. For the alkaline earth metals barium, strontium and calcium, which have a high atomic weight, it can be about 1 to 3 percent, while for the actual alkali metals, such as sodium or potassium, it is about 0.5 to 1.5 percent. The addition of magnesium is also best kept below 1 percent. The additions of heavy metals are also low, in some cases even lower. Effective is z. B. already 0.1 percent copper; usually the additions are = up to 3 percent.
