Der Ofen dient zum Brennen von Petroleum für Koch- oder Heizzwecke und ist hauptsächlich
dort von Werth, wo es darauf ankommt, in kurzer Zeit intensive Hitze zu entwickeln.The furnace is used to burn kerosene for cooking or heating purposes and is mainly
of value where it is important to develop intense heat in a short time.

Das Petroleum fliefst aus dem mehrarmigen Rohr G zuerst auf die an der Hinterseite der
Kammer angebrachte schiefe Fläche D, auf welcher es verbrennt; nicht verbranntes Petroleum
fliefst über den etwas aufgebogenen Rand E dieser Fläche auf die an der geneigten
Vorderwand B der Kammer angebrachte Fläche D", sammelt sich dort an dem aufgebogenen
Rande E, und wenn alsdann noch etwas Petroleum unverbrannt zurückbleiben sollte, so fällt dasselbe auf den Boden der
Kammer, woselbst es vollständig verbrennt.The petroleum flows from the multi-armed pipe G first onto the inclined surface D attached to the rear of the chamber, on which it burns; Unburned kerosene flows over the slightly upturned edge E of this surface onto surface D " attached to the inclined front wall B of the chamber, collects there at the upturned edge E, and if some kerosene should then remain unburned, it falls on the Bottom of the chamber where it burns completely.

In den an der Vorderseite des Ofens angebrachten Kanälen N, welche durch einen senkrechten
Kanal an einem Ende des Ofens mit einander in Verbindung stehen, kann man
