Abstract
Metallic chlorides are obtained from complex compounds by reacting the latter, at a high temperature (1800 DEG C-2500 DEG C) with gaseous chloride in a reaction zone, under reducing conditions, in the interior of a reactor packed with solid reducing material in lumps. The chlorides are obtained in the vapour phase and separated.
