Abstract

The flexible sign sheet has a peripheral edge extending rearwardly from the plane of the opening at the frame edge. A series of separate sheet tensioning devices are spaced around the frame rearwardly of the plane of the opening for tensioning the flexible sign sheet across the opening. Each tensioning device retains the peripheral edge of the sign sheet and has an adjustable bolt. The belt shank extends through an aperture in the retainer in a direction extending rearwardly of the plane of the opening into threaded engagement with the frame to enable the bolt head to be rotated to screw the shank into further threaded engagement with the frame. This causes consequent rearward movement of the retainer independent of the other sheet tensioning devices. The retainer holds the edge of the sign sheet, to cause the peripheral edge portion of the sign sheet to be pulled rearwardly across the front edge thereby tensioning the flexible sign sheet across the opening.
